i have had these outside for a couple of weeks and wanted to see if i could get them to grow a lil faster. several people on here told people to experiment a lil....so i am...lol! Think this will work? I know having 3 in a 5 gallon bucket isnt a great idea but for starters didnt think it would help. i appreciate all POSITIVE feedback lol

p.s. i know this is ghetto....

just be careful when using foil, the creases in it create hot spots that can burn the plants

They are streching, and thin. how hot doesit get in that tin tube? having circlating air will thicken the stems and lessen streching.

Very interesting btw!! :) I love ghetto grows!

obviously from the pics they are inside right now. it is dark outside so i wanted to do a 24 hour light period.

how do i keep them from stretching? so foil is bad.....would it be better to not have it on there and just be under the light?

yeah I would get rid of the foil and bring the light closer, about 1ft away from the plants. A oscilatting fan will also help the stalks get strong

the foil was causing heat stress to the plants, typically you want a reflective material that doesn't get very hot, like mylar. just keep lots of light on them and a fan if you have one, they should bounce back soon.

You said it was a 200 watt bulb, but not what kind of bulb. Is it a cfl, or a regular lightbulb? Just looking at the light fixture, I wouldnt think it was a MH. If you can, spend some bucks on some decent lights. Or you might be better off keeping it outdoors where it will get 6-8 hours of sun a day and let nature take it's course. It wont be faster, but you will most likely get some bud.
