So many of you know I'm a chef..and like psychedelics..I have a mushroom grow planned for newyears eve when I get back from NY..
My questions are these, let me back up and explain..
Many restaurants have what is know as 'lexans'..very hard, resiliant plastic storage containers..they withstand thousands of drops, washings, microwavings, reheatings in water baths ect..they are meant to go through hell and still be fine..
My curiosity was sparked tonight by thinking/wondering if one could take a lexan(which come in square or rectangle shapes in many dimensions) fill it full of substrate, and microwave it with the lid on,wrapped and sealed accordingly, and make basically huge amounts of substrate for innoculation,or even giant pf cakes..I'm talking some are 2in deep,18in long,10in.wide..others are 6in deep and 4x4in squared..others are 6in deep and 4in wide and 11in long..all have lids, they don't snap on,but loosley fit..some lids have a half moon cut out of it so utensil handles can stick out...
So,any thoughts? Can you microwave sub?..is it too much area of sub,and may be more likely to fail due to contams or not enough colonization? I have many other questions but those are enough to see if more should be raised..
Thanks for any input or reccomendations!!
