expanded EM1

I expanded some em1 back in June. I still have over half of the batch left. How do I know if it's still viable? They are stored in 600 ml plastic water bottles at room temperature inside a tote and smell a little sweet and yeastie'sh with no built up pressure in the bottle.

Not sure of the answer, but am curious myself. If you don’t get an answer try asking here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/greens-probiotic-method.985411/

I've had some far past that point and when I used I still saw nice white fuzzies appearing. Maybe not as strong as it was before but still alive & working. The other goodies from the molasses would still be present and potentially beneficial otherwise. I wouldn't just throw out... IMO.

I kept mine in translucent milk jugs sitting indoors in a bed room 70's temp - didn't do anything special. And I'd have to guess I'm well past 4-6 mo old batch. About to brew a new one and this time I'm going to only expand 1 gal at a time.
