Exhausted the causes for slow growth, what could it be?

My seedling is 8 days old and the first 4 days it had very fast growth. It slowed down after that and then showed some mg deficiency. I sprayed the seedling with 1/4tbsp of epsom salts per qrt of water earlier today and I THINK it perked up a little.
I threw a seedling out about a month ago because it was a month old and only had 2 sets of true leaves. I didn't have any perlite on that one so I figured that would be the problem but I guess I was wrong? I fixed that and the problem persists. I'm starting to believe it is my water, but my water is always 6.4-6.6 so once again, I'm not sure.
Another guess is that they are just a slow growing strain? (bagseed) Because the last slow growing seedling was from the same batch that I'm using for this one.

Here are some specs:

Temps: 80-83
Hum: 30 - 45

12/12 from seed
107w 2700k cfl
Eight day, have fed molasses once at 1tbsp per gallon and sprayed some epsom salts on it today.
50/50 perlite:soil
soil is Miracle Gro OC
I have enough airflow and exhaust too.

I've tried looking for faults and can't seem to find them. Maybe the seeds are runts?
I've thought of getting good quality seeds from a reputable seedbank but I'm afraid the problem is not the seed but my set-up itself.

Any ideas?

Phone pic, best I can do.. sorry. (My thumb is there for size reference)

Thank you all!!

even though your doing 12/12 from seed you should still use 6400k blue spectrum until the plant is mature enough usually once the nodes begin to alternate this doesnt take too long in my experience ( currently doing a 12/12 from seed ) I used a 24w T5 rigged up on a shelf in my flowering closet for around 2weeks then moved it under my 600w still waiting for pistels to show but nodes began alternating after about 10 days under the 6400k T5.

well not sure but I had some Texas bag seed planted in one container of miracle grow moisture control or something like that and two others planted in happy frog and it was freaky the difference in speed the two in happy frog grew at compared to the miracle grow. But I am not sure about the soil you have it could be different from the miracle grow soil I had. Hope you find your answer.

I think I might actually have found the problem. As I stated earlier, I think I found mg deficiency so I fed it a little bit of epsom salts and the smaller leaves(second set of trues) are starting to turn healthy green again and looks like they have grown significantly since I fed her.
Given that the I found the problem.. should I feed epsom salts when I water it with nutes or every other watering by itself?
If I would feed it often, i'd probably do 1/2tbsp per gallon or even 1/4tbsp per gallon.
Any tips?

I would not be giving them epsons at this stage of the grow and when you do need it usually in flowering its 1/4 teaspoon per gallon and only one watering (not spraying). To much epsons will give you nute lock and make the situation worse. I have used epsons before and less is better (1 shot via watering and thats it).

Dude listen to what J said about the lights. I went about 1/4 of the 6500K bulbs and had 4 12/12 from seed. Within two weeks I could cull the males. There were about 12 inches with flowers starting. About 7 or 8 weeks into flower now. One of the 12/12 seeds is foot and a half and covered in buds.

I find it hard to believe a 8 day old seedling is showing signs of mg deficiency, let alone any deficiency. The molasses and epsom salt are most likely only compounding the situation. I start seeds in pro-mix or sunshine mix, which is completely inert, and I don't even consider adding anything besides water for the first 3 weeks.

How often are you watering? Overwatering seems more logical.

Correct.

I water every 4-5 days and the soil is just Miracle Gro OC straight from the bag and Perlite straight from the bag as well.
I had 1 13w 5000k light in there and the plant seemed to reach for that instead of the 2700k so I took it out, thinking light was being somewhat wasted

You want as much light as you can get. More light = more bud.

I'm fairly new myself but i've already seen some issues with your grow.

you have a whack load of flower bulbs and just recently put in one vegetation bulb (get more of those 6500k bulbs for baby plants)

babies from seed don't need anything but water for the first 21 days, no molassas, no epsom salts, nothing.

Every seed has everything it needs built into it to start life (21 days) if your soil has any nutes built in that's more time that you don't need to worry about feeding you plant anything but water or maybe 1/8th strength nutes up to 1/2 strength nutes.

Checking once a day for bugs, signs of damage and growth.

Try not to touch the plant much if it can be helped

eh, sounds like it wont make it.. I should take these mistakes and avoid them for when i use good seeds.

the screen is whirling right now,...,

im baked.

Give it time, never throw the baby out with the bath water.

You may end up with a short plant, one with some twisted leaves on it or anything but it's best to get a full grow done and out of the way.

Think of this as your test grow and treat this plant as good as you can, raise it right and get all your mistakes out this round so your next grow is great

and who knows, this plant may be a godly phenotype of your strain and you wouldn't want to waste that

haha, words of wisdom. I shall keep her and see how far it goes.

Thanks bro

A seed is a seed and you treat them all the same regardless of strain. There is no different growing methods for specific strains. If they are viable they are good to go.
You can tell the viability of a seed by looking at it.
