exhale taste like dirt??

hey all, i am about to harvest my very first outdoor/grow ever....i have read the forums here and think that i have drying figured out....i just took a small bud from the bottom trimmed all the big fan leaves and the little ones leaving mostly bud and hairs.. and hung it for about 3 days to when the main stem was just about to snap..jarred it for about 12 hours and for the last day or so have been taking the top off the jar for about two hours or so then back on for a few hours and off..well i just smoked some and the high is very good for just some bag seed...the only thing is when i exhaled it tasted like dirt or even some fert..i only used a little food for veg and some bionicare hydroplex bloom..i stopped feeding it on october 1st so i thought it should be out and it rained pretty hard in early october so i didnt think i needed to flush it....i have not harvested the plant yet and wanted to know should i flush it and will it help....

now i know we have all smoked dirt weed but the inhale is so niceand smooth and the exhale taste like a mouth full of soil??? the only think i think it could be is that my exhust from my indoor was going into the room where i was hanging this to dry and i dont have a carb filter yet..would the bud take the dirt smell from the air when it is drying????

Man, I have had some really good stuff before that tasted like clean dirt on the exhale. This was purchased weed. Not sure where the taste comes from in the growing process though.
