Excessive yellowing

I'm getting too much yellowing after I flip into flower. I'm about one month into flower, and though I usually deal with a small amount of yellowing into flower, this is just too much. I fed a transitional half veg half flower food until week 3 of flower. Then switched to just flower food. But i've been getting yellowing since the flip. At first I thought it was hotspots from my new hood, but i'm sure its not. the yellowing is middle and below the plant. Sounds like a nitrogen def but isn't that unlikely in flower?

can you pop a picture? Can't really help you without seeing the plant

OR Cal/mag deff

probably a bit of all 3

feed a bit more maybe add some cal/mag to help with npk uptake next time or use some of your veg feed along with your early bloom feed

New strain ?

Your upper leaf looks ok, so I`d just feed a tiny bit more

but yeah I`d be giving more npk, a bit earlier, some strains do eat lower leaf to make root and buds in the 1st 3 to 4 weeks of flowering

Did you just name ALL the base nutrients as a probable cause? You can't answer a multiple choice question with "Well, it's either A B or C... and maybe D too"

(Your cal-mag isn't that organic nonsense is it?) Checking Ph regularly, not just at fill? Ph'ing for...... dirt? (try bumping just a touch higher?) All else fails, mix up a massive batch of nutes, and fully flush the pots to reset their Ph and nutreint levels to what you need... (This is why I stopped growing in bug cities..... er, dirt)

Well Cal/Mag helps uptake NPK too so sometimes feeding extra cal/mag can help with any npk deff

but no the plants clearly are not burnt from over feeding so personally I would feed them more Potassium and some more cal/mag

I don`t really care personally about losing some lower fan leaves so feeding extra N would not be an issue and I worry about calcium phosphate build up in my root zone personally so I like to use bacteria that brakes that down and try not to over do it with the phosphorus personally...... you know as handy and cheap as monopotassium phosphate is I normally just add some potassium sulphate to a good flowering mix I`ve already concocted

Obviously looking at the plants the loss of colour is caused by a lack of N or K, cal/mag can help with that

Did I start saying borbon, copper ? zinc ? maganses ? silicone ? nope ok the plant probably would not cry if it got a bit more of them too

but mostly cal/mag and extra K would probably do it

but looking like some extra veg feed is needed for the 1st 2 weeks or so of flower and the OP should try a little cal/mag and potassium sulphate

but you know what ??? He grew it he knows what he fed it

I can cut it down to 3 to 6 things he could feed more of next time that`s gotta be loads of help

Multiple choice ? really ? what if the plant needs all fucking 3 ? hell if I was there I could probably find 100`s of things to do to make it "better next time"
 
I feed the recommended amount of calmag every watering. I feed every watering. About every 3 days or so. I grow in peat moss, its not exactly dirt, so I make sure to calmag every time. I could definitely kick up the flower nutes, I haven't seen any burn thus far.

edit: Just thought of something. When I water its not uncommon that my water has been stagnant with nutrients in it for 2-3 days. could that be an issue? It looks like the plants with the most issues are the ones i water first. Maybe the nutrients get stagnant at the bottom after sitting?

this is exactly what happened to my two ladies :( likely going to have to take them early since they are basically fuct.

Does anyone know what would cause the leaf tips, especially on the yellowed leaves, to turn black?

look something like this? If so this is a prime example of a phosphorus deficiency. Rare during veg, although it can happen.

Sorry for hijackin this thread :bigjoint:

I have 3 clones going and 3 in flower - 1 outdoor and 2 in. Outside lady is doing well, but the inside ones not so much. The clones seem to have the same sort of thing going on w the tips on some leaves

Looks pretty close to mine. Perhaps we are in the same boat. Also, what material do you use for your screen? I'm not looking forward to rethreading mine.
 
One thing i now know for sure is that we have hard water and i believe it caused a bunch of diff issues - nute and mineral toxicities and deficiencies.

Have started using RO water and have seen a big change in the clones and outdoor lady (although i suspect that semi-frequent rainwater flushes helped as well).

Tonight i actually smoked a couple bowls off of a 'test' branch i cut off of one of the indoor ladies the other day and dried.

Ole lady and i both got pretty ripped haha
 
try raising your ph to 6.5, you may be locking out MG, especially if your soil is high in acidity and not buffering your feeds properly , ph ing at 6 will not help the uptake of P and CA either

I like how a PH of 7 seems to supply everything. Adding small amounts of Dolomite lime will buffer the PH to 7. And add cal and MG
