I'm from NV and they're fucking us here too. We lose our right to grow in 2016 if we live within 25 miles of a dispensary. We have a good group fighting for us though. They were able to get dispensaries voted in but LE wanted the no grow halo rule, fucking pigs.

Who is representing the MMJ at the state house in WA? Are there any orgs. working the Reps. like Americans for Safe Access or a local Norml group? How can they just slip this shit through without some group raising hell?

I laugh!

This is excellent News!!! Stupid People didn't listen when I said don't Vote.

And now you're All Paying the Price... Literally!! Buhahahahahahah!!
if no one voted in the first place, growing your meds at home would be just as illegal.

thus your logic is stupid.

and that's all there is to say about it.

Did you read the Bill? Why would you? You don't live in WA....

Before everyone Voted Home grows were going on through Patients ONLY.(and the few who had licenses to resale)
people thought, hey if we vote than everyone can grow! But people confused decriminalizing with Legalizing.

Now Patients can't grow. Because all the profits are wanted through the Liquor Board.... They LITERALLY fucked themselves

before people voted, there was absolutely no legal protection for medical users.

now, it's legal for even recreational users.

your logic is stupid, and there is nothing else to say.

How could something be Legal for recreational use, but illegal for Medical use?
No matter when this is still all illegal Federally. And what was Voted on was recreational use... We already had LEGAL papers to smoke, snort, inject Cannabis anytime we wanted to... As long as you got your reccomendation from a LEGAL Cannabis Doctor, it was all Legit...

cannabis is legal for medical use in washington.

:dunce:

No matter when this is still all illegal Federally.
maybe we can change that by not voting, eh?

:dunce:

now you don't even need a recommendation from a doctor.

Yeah?... But not to grow?

We can't change that even if we started voting..

Right, because that's why people were getting recs.. Because they wanted to grow... Now they can't... So they won't

Yeah?... But not to grow?
maybe try rectifying that by not voting

:dunce:

nonsense.

you can vote for officials on the federal level who will advance the effort, nominate the right judges, and more.

apparently you've never heard of jared polis? barney frank?

:dunce:

Right, because that's why people were getting recs.. Because they wanted to grow... Now they can't... So they won't
how legal was it to grow before you guys voted to make it medically and recreationally legal?

:dunce:

if you don't vote you have one recourse: shut the fuck up and take what you get. try practicing the former.

We didn't even vote on stopping Patient home grows. That was done behind our backs..(not literally)but still

nonsense.

yes... And what are the odds of the people taking out the federal government? I'd like to see those statistics

each and every rep that voted on this bill was voted on before and will be voted on again.

you can vote against them for this action or you can do nothing.

no one said anything about "taking out" the fed gov, silly goose.

you can send people there who will advance legislation in our favor and nominate judges that are on our side, or you can not vote (or even worse, send the ritt momneys of the world to washington).

the answer you are looking for is that it was 100% illegal to do anything, whether growing or smoking either recreationally or medically, before the people voted to change that.

no thanks to you.

The reason why I don't Vote, is because basically I'm Voting for the Best LIAR and to me I can see through everyone.

What happened to bringing our troops home? And we voted on legalizing?
My head is not in the sand. It's just not in my ass so far that I'm taller than I really am.

To me it was a waste of time. Were never going to be California. We are WA. And the more we say, "Oh, we should legalize and put everything in big Brothers Hands" the more we get screwed with Outlaws and Trials.... Did I want Pot to be left alone? Yes. But I also didn't see why we had to give up our rights to the government. When they didn't even own it in the first place. It was mother nature before you voted... And now it's the Governments "Ticket" to getting out of Debt. I have no part in this. Nor will I ever claim to...

Well I recommend you start taking high dosages of CBD tincture like Alta's "healing" maybe it will fix the inbalance in your brain and let you see the light brother , but surrendering before you fire one shot in the Legalization battle seems crazy to me. I can't argue anymore, just not worth it, go ahead do not vote , do not call the alcohol board, go ahead and just let them roll over you peace out

I've been doing a little research on the subject, including reading the actual bills, and I think that taxation of mmj is unavoidable. The problem is two-fold. First, it is the only drug I can think of that is now legal as both a medication and for recreational use. Recreational use falls under the jurisdiction of the liquor control board, and medical use falls under the dept of health. Problem is . . . in order for both sets of laws to exist, they must not conflict with each other. As it stands currently, WA state congress has approved a measure that seeks "recommendation from the liquor control board" in order to make the laws compatible. It does not suggest that congress is required to approve the recommendation. The second issue is that mmj is not technically a prescription. If it was, you would not be able to grow your own. Instead, it is classified as a holistic medicine. Problem is . . . holistic medicine is taxed, and prescription medications are not. We dodged the tax bullet for a while, but inclusion of the new legalization will inevitably result in new taxes for us patients. Whether we will still be able to grow or not is another question.

Not to come across like some here, but being old school I was certain the whole medical and recreational use picture was going to fall into a legal quagmire of pointless nonsense for reasons most activists don't consider. The drug warriors still hold more power than most are aware of and likewise a long-standing black market still heavily influences the whole cannabis market worldwide. I never gave into pressure from friends to become legit according to their belief that becoming registered would make my life safer and easier. Getting on some official listing on state record was bound to come back to haunt somehow. Like always, I still play the game and ignore marijuana's popularity, thinking such somehow makes it all safer or more legit.
