Where did you get your super skunk from? Just curious cuz I have a ss pheno that is amazing I got from yeti seeds. It seems different from other skunks Ive grown but it produces great and the smell is like earthy berries with a hint of skunk. They are super frosty too. How did yours turn out?

Just saw your review right above my comment. Actually seems spot on to mine. Crazy I thought the same thing, would never have bought them but they were freebies and I grew them outdoors. Now they are a fixture in my garden

I saw a guy on Reddit, whose pics Barney’s uses int their advertisement. He’s grown it 3 times, never saw a hermie. Some people elsewhere are reporting it too, others are not. Either way, everyone states it’s a great smoke, heavy yields, full of colors.

I’ll plan on removing all the plants 3x, in weeks 2/3/4 looking for signs of hermies…….clean them up and place them back In.

Let's close out the thread with an Ethos "Thug Roze" review...........

I always thought it was interesting that I never saw anyone mention growing this strain, even though its been in the Ethos line for quite a while. I took a shot with it, mainly because its a monster yielding mostly sativa strain, right up my alley. But for a supposed 9-10 week flowering strain per Ethos, you have to wonder what planet they are living on......... I'll start by saying you can't trust Ethos for most things in their descriptions- flowering times, thc %'s, etc. are often wrong and actually usually flat out lies.

But with that, I have a strain that just missed averaging 5 oz per plant, it was easy to grow, and reacted well to my constant defoliating, which was pushed to the extreme with a very thorough one at 5 weeks in flowering, among others at the beginning of flowering and a constant removal of larger leaves throughout the grow. There was a lot of variation in the pheno's, as some were rather short and others got quite large- and everything in between. The later flowering plants were the keepers, overall. Many of the plants exhibited some foxtailing in the end too.

The smoke leans heavily to the sativa side, maybe 80-20 or 90-10. It has a wonderful fruity smell and taste, although Ethos describes it as lemony, which I didn't see. Every person that has seen it mentions the fruityness right away.

So, its a nice strain for early in the day, but not potent enough to be meaningful in the evening. It's not racey, mostly it hits the head hard and last for a few hours. I cut 5 plants earlier, around 10 weeks, the other 16 went 83-84 days and they needed every day of it. Yield is a 10/10, buzz is a 6.5/10 (maybe a 7/10),the room smell came on late but wasn't bad through most of the grow so 5/10. It's not something I would do again, while the yield was most the impressive part of this strain.

This strain has a lot going for it, just wish it was a bit stronger overall. No hermies or seeds anywhere, monster yield (my best ever), great fruity smells and tastes...........just let it go along enough or you may be disappointed- figure on going 12 weeks or don't bother with it. Expect to either have to stake or net the grow, as the colas get ridiculously big and heavy.

This will be it for me for a while.......... my plan is not to document the Barney's thread, other than maybe a final review when finished.
Fair call too mate, you've done so many amazing journals, I think you can be forgiven for taking a break hey! Hope the Barneys grow goes well!!

As I usually do, I'm coming back one last time to do a smoke report of the Thug Roze. It's been weeks for the final stuff to fully dry and cure, and I wanted to relay people's comments, along with my own.

I wasn't completely sure on this one, when it was first harvested and smoked. The fruityness came right out, the yield was monsterous. but I questioned the buzz a bit. Now weeks later, I can fully appreciate it. My initial 7/10 in the buzz is probably an 8 or 8.5/10 now. Some commments from customers first.

My 76 year old cousin- "BTW, Excellent! Tastes Great"

My largest customer- she bought 2 p's, and came back for another one a week later.

My neighbor- walks into my basement, where things were open drying and curing and immediately his eyes lit up and he graviated over to the table for a closer inspection. His nose told him eveything he needed to know.

So, it's all sativa. I don't notice any indica in it at all. It's felt mainly in the eyes and head, and the buzz comes on slowly but steadily. After it levels out, the high lasts a good, long time. The smell and taste alone with this one makes it worthy for a grow and to have around. It's an amazing "sour sweetness", smoke it and the entire room stinks for a day or so. The high is just a bonus to it all.

Lastly, my friends are all seasoned smokers. This one tickled the noses of everyone that tried it. Then it hits the tongue and people start shaking there heads up and down. With a big smile on their faces. Some have compared it to a Sour Diesel, and there's something to that. They hit the nail on the head.
