Beeing the big stoners that you all are
would you and do you give blood,
would you give blood if you drink heavly, take other substances etc. ??
 
last time i gave blood i got the most intense headache i've ever had... left a bad taste in my mouth but i will do it again sometime. they call all the time because i've got some rare blood type or something...

they usually won't take blood from people who abuse alcohol.

Really? Whenever I donate blood they don't even ask about alcohol or even marijuana. The only drugs they ask me about are the ones you inject and they check my arms for railroad tracks.
 
The only time I give blood is when the office is promoting a blood drive and thats because of peer pressure lol, MAn I hate needles going into my body.:spew:

I hadnt thought about stuff like marijuana in the system while giving blood, maybe the next time I give blood I'll smoke up right before so the blood recipient can enjoy it too..
 
I donated blood, and the next week i was contacted by the CIA. They told me to stay at home and not to move, they wanted to use me for a secret weapon!

that's what they told me. filling out the eligibility questionnaire the guy asked me how often i drink and just to be stupid i said i usually start the day off with a keg or two... he said they won't take blood from alcs... maybe he was just kidding too! :)



just read something about donating blood. it said not to drink anything high in caffeine right before they pull. i threw down a 20oz mountain dew on the way in the donation center, prob caused that killer headache... :roll:

That's weird stuff. I don't see why it would matter as long as you weren't drunk at the time of donation.

haha yeah, that could do it. I usually get pretty dizzy right after I donate blood and they ask if I've had any coffee or soda that day.
 
do you think that its right to donate blood that will have traces of substances that the person recieving dosnt want or know about?
 
Well if their life depends on such blood I would hope they wouldn't complain...or else I would want it back :p
 
i think the morphine they are on will over power any thc. alcohol thins the blood. maybe it changes the cell count. just a guess.


oh, and i give blood but i hate it and haven't done it in a few years. i'm O- they love me.
 
i can't give ne more cuz i am on blood thiners. wish i still could i am a rare blood type ab postive
 
I usually donate every six weeks or there-abouts. I'm sure I've given several gallons at this point. Like jury duty, giving blood is a very important civic duty. Just for fun, when the nurse asks the question: "Have you ever been paid for having sex?" I always answer: "Is that an offer?"
