I just watered my chocolope plant with epsom salt mixed at 1tbsp per gallon of water. Some of the lower fan leaves are now turning yellow and brown. Anyone know if this is normal?

Is there a difference in epsom salt products? I keep seeing magnesium sulfate u.s.p. Is the u.s.p version safe for plants?
