Im running 8 42w 150w equiv 6500k CFLs and 2 24" 6500k fluorescent tubes as side lights, will this be enough for veg growth on 3-4 plants a couple feet tall? Im going to flower with a 400w HPS. but not for another month and a half

Im a newb so take it easy eh!!

Absolutely, lol

Even for more than a month and a half 8 42W's is plenty to veg 3 - 4 In my opinion
I'm only running 6 x 26W on 2 plants and they're growing nice and compact.

Heres what were working with.

Total cost $70 (just trying it out so I didnt want to drop major coin.......YET?

I know its cheap but couldnt find mylar, so I went with the E blankets, I do get a reading on my light meter using the reflection so It will do for now. Eventually I will remove the side shelf system and use the entire closet, but that will be after I harvest and If I am successful at all. The timer is set for 18/6 which is WAY more direct light than they were getting outside on my deck. . I figure its close to 18000 lumins

This setup has no ventilation yet as I am wondering how to do it with the fold open closet doors, what should I do? It will eventually need it to handle the stank? It is close to a window so a dryer vent with a portable a/c window slot may do the trick

Who knows???

Opinions/suggestions welcome

I grow in my closet but not with those types of doors. It's just a regular door. That setup is nice. Can't wait to see how this unfolds. Do you know what strain that is?

Just some seeds I have saved over the last few months from some of the better smoke Ive had.

You have 420 posts too. LOL

As far as the door thing, i have heard of people buying cheap replacement doors and using them to drill holes for ventilation without messing up the original doors. You could possibly find replacement doors that would fit in place of the sliding doors. Definately get a carbon scrubber, or better yet make your own. You don't want guests asking questions or telling others what they smelled in your place. Just my two cents

I may enclose the inside, so another little door will open once you open the closet door. then I can set the scrubber to vent into the closet or just out through the closet doors.

Really I have not thought about it too much. But still open to suggestions. I know someone somewhere has grown in a closet like this.

I grew in a closet like that, ended up moving it outside into the room when I added a second HPS.

Not much help to you but what you can do is put a fan at the bottom blowing in and a fan at the top blowing out. It's not optimal air flow of course but since your doors are louvered air will go right through them.

Note, use strong fans.

Right now there is plenty of air moving in the closet Im gonna have to make a change when they really start stinking. Maybe an exterior closet box is the best idea, but im sure I will think of something. I will post it up asap
