Enough light in the day?

So I plan to start my plants inside for the first few weeks, harden them off and then put them outside.

Will any plant do alright with only 13-14 hours of light each day? Or is there a specific type of strain that does well in the vegetative state with this amount of light? Should I only be growing plants outside that "auto-flower"?

Yes, 13 to 14 hours of direct sunlight is sufficient for vigorous vegetative growth. Ruderalis plants are acclimated to a certain climate and start flowering at a certain stage of growth, automatically. They usually have low potency due to their feral nature. Though some breeders have ingeniously incorporated the genetics of Ruderalis Indica into more psychoactive strains, to the point where they flower early and produce quality buds; it shouldn't be necessary for you tor resort to an auto-flowering strain.
