Enough light for seedlings

I have this setup but I have no camera so I made a picture of it. Is this enough light to grow some seedlings? I keep them about 3 inches from these 26w cfls. There's a flat white painted reflector above the lights and once on the end of them at a 45 degree angle.

should be. watch for them getting "leggy" and that will let you know for sure.

i would probably use three of the same spectrum (cool) rather than mixing them at this point in the grow.

hey I have seeds that have germinated the taproots and after two days the roots had turn brown is that a good thing r bad

healthy roots are white... start a new thread of your own though and get some other opinions.

why didnt you put them in the grow medium as soon as they sprouted rather than leaving them to start to rot?

I vegged 8 seedling at a time under 2 x 26w cfls..keep light about 1-2" away... I do just go with sun for a day or two..let them get a grip, and no risk of toasting...
minimum water, no nutes till 3-4 weeks... Good luck

oh. I have miracle grow soil. It says it feeds up to 3 months. lmao I'm sure it'll only last till about a month, maybe a month and a half. maybe even before then I believe some of the leaves will start yellowing. 8 seedlings under 2 26w for how long? only untill like the 5th node? I made a light system consisting of 6 sockets wired up together like you see here. I am only using one half of it now for the seedlings. The other half is behind those and I wired them all together to a timer. their on 18/6 right now with a fan in a 2'x2'x3.5' box. once they spread their wings I'm going 6x 26w 6500k cfls and maybe after that I might need to add some 42w cfls.

Pre-nuted soils can be problematic, you have no control and if you need to flush you make it worse by releasing more nutes plus over water problems..."Some" here do use MG, but if your diagnostic skills are lacking you may encounter grim stuff.. 46w sounds good, plus you can use 26w for side lighting....if you choose.....I would consider changing to a premium soil with a pro-mix or perlite at a 50-50% mix
at the next transplant...IMO....... LUCK
