End of a Game Show Era; Monty Hall, dead at 96.

When Monty dies he appears before God who shows him three doors. God tells Monty "Behind one of these doors lies ever lasting life. Behind the other two is everlasting punishment. Which door will it be?" Monty chooses a door. At that moment God opens one of the other two doors to reveal the Devil. God asks Monty "do you want to stick with your original choice or do you want to switch doors?"

Should Monty stick with his original choice of doors or should he switch?

So.... you're on Let's Make A Deal and Monty shows you three doors. Behind one door there is a new car but the other two doors conceal bricks of moldy schwag. You choose a door then Monty opens one of the other two doors to reveal a brick of schwag. Monty asks you if you want to stick with your choice or switch to the remaining door.

What do you do?
If it's a Pinto or a Pacer, I'm switching.

heh, I rewrote it to be more timely
He already knows he doesn't get everlasting punishment so it's 50/50 on everlasting life.

Monty turns to God and says, 'Oh Lord, my life is in your hands. Do with me what Thou wilt'.

So God opens the door and shows Monty all the riches good show ever have away and said, 'this is yours. Of course you're dead so you can't spend it.'

Is this heaven or hell?

He should switch from his original choice. He's got a 2/3 chance of winning admission to heaven if he switches, but only a 1/3 chance if he sticks with his first choice...
