EMERGENCY ------------>MH Light problem!

I've been veggin 24/7 under 1 400w mh, 1 75 w cfl & 60w cfl. Today my MH suddenly died and the box's normal whirring turned a higher pitch. It began working several hours later. Just now it turned off again and the same thing happened. The bulb and filiment are still intact. WHAT THE FUCK!!?!?

They're working now that I plugged it back in after a break. What the hell can I do to prevent this? Has anyone ever had this happen?

I never understood why people would veg 24/7 when all you get is a weaker plant in my opinion. Sounds like it's time to junk that box and get a new one. Your only in the veg state so this will not fuck up your plants so long as you still provide it with some light like your cfl's.

Over heating issue sounds like to me with your box. Another good reason to only run your lights at 18/7 because these units do need to be cooled, thus the reason to run exhaust fan for an hour after the lights shut off.
