Hey guys ! First grow so go easy with insults... My issue is that temp is too high and humidity too low. To be exact since i got home temp was at 30 Celsius (84 f) and 44% humi. I got a 1000 watt setup with two fans, 4 inch inline fan for exhaust, 1 4 inch intake no fan. So far i tried everything... Spray water around humi goes up temp down but doesn't last more than 10 minutes. This one was my last option failed me hard. I put ice in front of fan making a home made a/c. Now i opened the door and well not sure what to do. Its the first day i put them under the 1000 mh light. The light is going out in 2 hours until tomorrow. Please help any advice would be good.

bowl of water in the room will raise the humidity and probably drop the temps just a tad. just so you know your temps and humidity arent all that bad. some of my past grow rooms have gotten to like 95-98 range and never really had any issues.

oh and a larger inline fan would really help. if you have to keep the inlets 4 inch then use a larger fan with size reducers down to 4 inch. good luck with your grow!

you could water the roots, if you are watering by hand, but they should dry out again after a while, I do it like every 3 or 4 hours, once or twice a day and mine are doing great but just under a 400 watt. or let the light rest for an hour .

How does boiling water bring down the temperature ? I understand it would bring up the humidity but why temp plus should i leave door open or closed? i closed it and temp went higher so did humidity. Its a small room 4feet by 5

BOWL of water not boiling lol. and being as big of a space as it is you might want a bucket of water. it'll evaporate into the air over time bringing the humidity up in the room. leave the door closed unless its getting too hot.

If you can make the exhaust leave the room or the living space, you'll probably see an improvement. cn

Exhaust leaves the building already!!!!!!!! My intake is straight from outside (Montreal weather pretty chilly right now) Exhaust leads straight to out.

Ohh oops i already did that i got 3 big bowls and two cups hahaha too high flipping right now!!!!!!! I closed door and it went as high at 33 celcius

well if 33 is the absolute highest its getting thats not too bad. its on the high side but you can still grow in those temps. just make sure you have good ventilation in there using several fans to blow the plants around a little and i would also suggest having a fan or 2 blowing air between the light and the tops of the plants.

Yeah air cooled by an 4inch inline fan. Its in a tentish room i can close the door or leave it open choice is mine if open it leads to my room...

Is the hood enclosed with glass, pulling in cool air from outside? Or is that just an exhaust off of the reflector, no glass?

Like others said before though, 84 isn't that bad. But when summer comes next year it might get out of control.

it has glass
Pulling air from the outside too? if so, then yeah, a larger fan would help, like drolove said.
i like to use oversized fans and turn them down with a speed adjustor. they operate much more quietly that way. I love the Vortex 747 turned back to a little below 50%. It moves lots of air and is nearly silent.

I've found that I like to do the same. A MaxFan 6-inch dialed back with a variac. I can get it to where I cannot hear it at all from my bed and still get good cooling. cn
