Hello everyone.

Going to give this journal a go. See how we get on

Plants: Buddha Cheese Fem. In Week 3 Veg
Grow system: IWS Pro 12 Pot Flood and Drain
Lights: 3x 600w HIDs in Air Cooled Hoods
Medium: Gold Label 80% Pebbles 20% Coco

Nutrients:
Veg - AN Coco, CalMag, Voodoo, B52, Carboload, Root Exc, Great White
Flower - AN Coco, CalMag, Voodoo, B52, Carboload, Root Exc, Silica, Bud Candy, Sensizym, Overdrive and I have a bottle of Pirahna around somewhere.

Bit over the top with nutrients but they get the job done lol. I’ll be dialing them back on my next run I’m just trying to use up what I have left over

Res at the moment is at 1.8EC with pH swinging 5.4 to 6

I had some problems earlier on with deficiencies but I got them back on track and their looking a bit better

Iv started to train them this week in prep for the scrog. Should be setting the net in the next few days. I will also be taking some clones off the 12 Cheese so hopefully I’ll be able to keep the best phenos. Setting the mother tent up later today so will upload some photos

Thank you and thanks for the warm welcome :-)

Here’s an over view of the garden. Plants have bounced back after the FIM.

Water levels dropped in the res and ECs remained the same at 1.8 so theyre taking in the food. Iv topped up the res with water got it down to 1.6 for the next flood. I’ll keep topping up with just water over the next few days and gradually bring the EC down.

I’m just in the middle of setting up the mother tent now so will hopefully be ready to take some clones tomorrow. I’ll be using the Xsteam 16 site aeroclone and foam pods. I think I’m going to have to take cuttings off cuttings until I can get this lot harvested dried and smoked lol. I’ll make it work :bigjoint:

I love single plant grows. You can really pay attention and bring them to their full potential. Plus not as much mess :) I run the flood and drain just take away some of the work. I was growing in soil before but I found it two much work with more than 4 plants. Knee aren't what they use to be

Update week 5

So iv just finished the training and tucking under the first scrog. Looking pretty even now if I do say so, with the exception of a few stragglers at the sides

I’m going to have to put the mother tent on hold for now. Friend of mine had a surprise house inspection so i ended up minding the babies for a while. Doing pretty good for a 1.2 tent and 8 plants haha only sticking out a small bit :p

Week 5 Feed - AN Grow A&B, CalMag, Voodoo, B52, Root Excell, Great white and Carboload. Just got some Green Power Silica too add as the branches are looking a little flimsy.

Strength at the end of week 5 is at .9EC. I started the week at 1.4EC and iv been topping up the res with just water to gradually bring the EC down.

pH has been a bit of an issue, if I add a drop it jumps down but then it could take another 5 drops to move it even .2 or .3 so iv purchased some new pH down from Growth technology. It’s over 80% phosphoric acid so hopefully it will sort out that issue.

Iv noticed yellow coloring on some of the larger fan leaves and some specs here and there on others. I did give them a title too much CalMag last week so it could be showing the toxcidity now? What do you guys think?

Ok I couldn’t resist

I seen a few more sticking out so I had to tuck them in

Ill leave it all alone now until Sunday and I’ll flip them to 12/12. Second net will be laid down a few days later so I’ll hopefully catch the stretch

Added some Silica last night so hopefully the branches will straighten up and hold the weight. Roots have really taking off since adding the Great white, Voodoo and H&G Root Excel. Lots of beni bacteria and microbes going on down there. My only problem now is keeping them out of the pipes

Day one 12/12 - And the fun begins

HPS are in and flower nutes are at the ready. Fed is 10mins x4. Iv added in the normal CalMag and Sensi bloom. For the first 2 weeks I’ll add the voodoo, great white and root exc. I have Carboload too which will be cut in week 4. Other than that I’m using mainly the AN line Bud Candy, Sensizym and of course the trusty z7. This stuff works wonders.

Shit man I never thought about doing it that way. Iv just changed the res to bloom nutes and lights have been on a few hours under hps.

I have added some bud blood which I know slows the stretch so hopefully I won’t run out of room :???:

Yeah man. Most people slowly transition to bloom nutes over the first 2 weeks of flower. Alot of people use hps the whole way through the grow but if you use blue light it will reduce the stretch.

Ive never used bud blood but i have seen people say it reduces stretch. Still things are looking good man

Here’s a shot of a swiss cheese, northern lights, and blue cheese I done last year. Lost control of the stretch and ended up having to bend down main tops away from the light into the canopy. Had the light fixed to the roof with cables ties. Hoping to avoid this happening again haha

Cheers man I will make note for the next one. I have a cool tube here somewhere and a spare ballast. Might try and stick a mH in there for the first few weeks if they really start to take off
