Email?

I have seen some of you say that you received an email from the Dep. of Health. Is this standard? I have not received any mail from anywhere. I sent in my application about 2 weeks ago and I have not heard from anyone ... but I tracked my letter and it was received. I see many of you post a timeline of 10 weeks. I guess I will just sit back and wait.
