Electricle breaker?

My electric breaker shuts off when i turn on to many fans. Can i fix it without having to run extension cords downstairs?

What size breaker are you kicking ? The 15 amp in the main panel ? The little 5 amp in the power strip at the end of and extension cord ? Something else ?

i'm not sure but when i plug an extra fan in. all of the upstairs power shuts off.

After all the lights go off upstairs do you have to go to a panel and reset them ?

That circuit is full, so the options you'll have are,

Unplug some things upstairs.

Extension cord like you said.

Find electric running near by and add a utility box and plug it in there.

Add a breaker to your main panel and run a new electric run to where you need it to be.

Unless you can think of something else that might work but aren't sure, just ask and we'll try and figure something out.

Thanks for all the help! I live in an apartment, so I think I'm just going to have to run an extension cord downstairs. It's just not very stealthy. but should be the cheapest and easiest.
