He's talking spreading out lower wattage kits so they're not in Vegas or overlit. Instead of 2' X 2' he's talking spreading them for more coverage.
Yeah thats what i did with the eb strips . More lower watt leds spread out over the canopy. But year ive thought bout side lighting and underlighting but i cant see it being worth the hassle and wire runs

Those lights are a complete ripoff for $695. As others have already stated build your own for much less. On their website they say to use two of those lights for a 4x4 tent. That's $1390. Crazy. They also state that two will replace a 1000 watt HPS which is not true.

There is nothing wrong with LED's. But those Electric Eye's are not worth what they are charging.

Young guy around the corner asked me if I thought side lighting helped cannabis. Depends on setting and lights used I said.

"I'm building a big box in my cabin. I'm thinking of putting LED I build on the top and all sides. Would that work?"

Oh hell yes with the right ventilation. In Alaska cooling in most of the year is fairly easy.
I'm going with "yes" it works. My disco tent:

Most lights grow weed. But no need to spend $1400 to light a 4x4 when you can probably get better results for half that pre made or 1/4-1/3 DIY
Just because something is twice the price doesn't make it a better light.

That's a shit load of money , my dad just spent that amount on a 1200 watt light.. I paid $200 for my 1500 watt lights and its working just as well as his both in 4x4 tents. I dont understand why people are paying so much.

Its probably not a 1500w light then. Two reasons.
1. Not many 1500 true watts lights on sale, because where would one use 1500w.
2. The price. $200 is very cheap. It would cost far more in parts to make one worth using that runs at 1500w.

Its probably a 260w light. The true test of a light is in flower.

I never said they didn't perform I said they were a complete ripoff for the price and I stand by that.
Yes you did - you alluded to the fact they didn't perform by saying they didnt replace a 1000 watt haha

They also state that two will replace a 1000 watt HPS which is not true.
Seems like this brand is higher end with newer technology and competes with brand like fluence or nextlight (~$1600), probably a bit too rich for people used to DIY prices which of course is cheaper than everything.

Here is one line from their spiel

It’s like putting your entire crop on steroids! The Electric Sky 300 saturates your plant’s HIDDEN GROWTH CENTERS with a unique, scientifically proven recipe combination of growing and flowering lightwavelength nutrients your plants understand.

Pretty much sums that company up!! :wall:

But in case that isn't triggering your bullshit sensors here's another.

GIVE YOUR PLANTS THE CORRECT INFORMATION: When plants don’t have enough infrared light, they’re “flying blind”. They can’t “see straight” or “think straight”. All other LED’s prevent plants from making use of all the light they receive. The ES300 gives CONCENTRATED growing flower power with UNSURPASSED SPECTRAL RED & INFRARED GENERATION of over 60%

But only 2.0umol/j... Not that high end then. :wall:

Hmm you don't think spectrum changes plant growth? Looks like they have science to back it up explaining the importance of infrared light on their blog. Seems legit to me.
