I've seen all types of random shit, usually late night on the way home. I remember in Hollywood, I saw a one legged guy in daisy dukes shit all over himself while singing Michael Jackson songs. Didn't even phase him, just kept singing. Another time, on BART at the Dublin/Pleasonton stop, I seen a dude accidentally punch the wife of the guy he wanted to fight. The dude who threw the punch ended up leaving the train covered in blood. But, every once in a while you would run into something cool, like a group of people freestyling, or someone playing a guitar.

I fucking love public transpo...

On the metro in D.C. i saw this homeless woman in all white rags but with her skin painted black (she was black as well but also painted black). She was pushing a baby stroller with her junk in it and ranting gibberish. All the sudden she said"oh well I might as well play this harmonica" and started fucking jamming playing the blues. It was actually really good playing. So weird.

I've busked (street performing) in Chicago subways for years, and I've seen some really crazy shit, too. Lots of robberies, interesting arguments (some of which turn violent), physical fights, horrible teenagers (I fear for our future) and colorful homeless. I became SO saturated with it that I will no longer take public transportation except our Metra trains, which are more expensive and entirely different beast. I'd rather drive and pay $30 in parking than aggravate my ptsd hopping on the train, or god forbid, a bus. Last time I took the train was a couple years ago to get downtown to close on a condo, and I experienced a whacked homeless dude trying to put his hand up the skirt of a young business woman. Somebody else tried to intervene and the homeless dude clocked him HARD in the face, so I locked his arm behind his back and kept him in a half choke until the police arrived. He smelled SO bad and constantly shouted death threats until they showed up, which was about 15 minutes but felt like an hour. The cops wanted me to go with them, but I told them I was already late for a closing, so the dude that got punched went with them as a witness, instead. I got the the closing with the homeless stink on me and a little dirt, so I had to tell them the story. Fuck the CTA...
