It's a greenhouse cave. Aphids are a problem. Bugs travel through the chain-link surround at will. Hand-spraying under leaves is close-in work. Chemical protective suits are hot. I like translaminar sprays that do both leaf sides. I like systemics. I do not like extra leaves, hence I manifold and don't like the fact that spinosad is ineffective when dried on the leaves. I want some residual oil/insecticide during veg. I want non-stop death to insects 24/7. Is this a bad thing? No! Is it a lazy way to farm. Sounds like it.
I feel you, I also like what works.
There's economies of scale in play outdoors that can really up the difficulty of battling bugs.
I've used tetrasan myself.
Tiny brown granules, yeah? Kinda smells like the beach?

he active ingredient can move through plant tissues (that is, leaves), thorough spray coverage is less critical when using these materials to control spider mites, which normally feed on leaf undersides.
YES! They put a man on the moon, surely we can have an easy-to-use 24/7 stone-killer for anything that crawls or fly's.

Rnd7.2.JPG - Two days ago, there were only three sets of new growth per branch. Today I bet they grew another set, if so, it's time to top that 4th set of branches down to 3/16" above the third set, on each side.
Kinda smells like the beach?
Yup! That's the one. Looks like you get a lifetime supply with these $120.+ poisons, whether youse like it or not.

Science is always trying, I guess.
It's sorta like asking for the cure to the common cold-- it doesn't sound difficult on its face, but impossible now and potentially impossible forever.
Since you have an enclosed space, ever consider those dichlorvos pest strips?

I could hand one from the 6x6x8h greenhouse ceiling as a kill-all and still use the insecticides shown above, but for the niggling detail of an oil based killer-strip that emits vapors 24/7 and carries the warning, "Hot Shot No-Pest Strip should not be used around food or in food-handling areas.".
