Ec

Is it a big problem if I dont Ec. I didnt ph my water and i had some problems so i ph now. Will i have problems if i dont Ec?

Are you hydro or soil?


I personally EC everything but if you want a decent answer then give a few more specifics about how you grow.

This way i can tell you whether you should or shouldnt be worried about EC.

i grow in soil. i just dont want to have anymore problems, trying my best but there is always something wrong. this is my first grow so i dont have much experience.

Well, IMO, you don't really have to EC, in your case. Your best bet, would to familiarize yourself with 'reading' your plants, knowing when it's time to increase and decrease doseages. I don't EC anything anymore, and my plants do great. Took some trial and error though, and now I know what they need, at what point they're in, for example...for the first couple weeks or flowering, they get 1/2 tsp per gallon fert/water, and so on, and so forth.....Knowing the EC, doesn't matter anymore, as long as I mix my ferts the same way, every time.(and monitor my plants, visually)

An EC/PPM meter is a good tool to have though, and I'm glad I have mine. I've just found that it isn't 'necessary' for the type of growing that I do. It satisfies curiosity, mostly.lol
