vegging 5 plants in 2 rockwool slabs in 2 tubs.
its a drip feed recirc. in which each grow (top) tub drains into 2 (ground level) tubs underneath the top growing tubs and into a 3rd (ground level) tub which is the resevoir where i check ph etc.
so i refilled my res yesterday, ec 1.6, now today it is like .9. Is this usual? I have noticed much larger ph and ec fluctuations using this rockwool slab/water 1x a day method then when i was using clay balls and flooding several times a day.
I was thinking maybe the rockwool/drip retains more of the nutrients after the water drains out compared to the clay balls/flood method, and as such although the res water ec is lower the nutrients are availble somewhere in the system (in the rockwool).??????
