So i decided to chop her two days earlier on account that my sister has gone into surgery monday and wednesday is my day off instead of chopping wednesday im going to visit her. Any ways chopped it down trimmed her. And ended up with 224 grams wet. I will have to upload pictures asap. Hoping the dry weight will be impressive. Heaviest bud wet was 26 ish grams.
Grats on the weight man, enjoy! :joint::peace:

So here are the images as promised, using 180w led for the most part and then the last 2-3 weeks with an additional 300w led both CHINESE EBAY. So without further adieu.

I'm impressed with these so called "waste of money ebay leds" single plant 224g wet -dry unknown. I am hoping for 2-2/half ounces dry.

I can honestly say that if you are on a budget but want to buy an led. Ebay led's is not a bad consideration. I'm not saying that it is better than any other competitor, because I dont know.. But personally, These damn things did it for me. I rate these for the money **** (4 stars). I am excited because I can now start a full grow using the full 480W and see the difference compared to the previous 180w +or-. No heat, cheap, long lasting, and effective why not. But if you can afford better MONEY TALKS!

Great work on this grow. I agree Chinese LEDs are just as good as there brand name counterparts, and with the lower price you can use much more wattage per plant which of course turns into better results.
Although LED technology is always improving and the more expensive units will probably out perform the Chinese watt for watt for the small scale or hobby grower Chinese is the way to go in my opinion.
LED has definatly come along way in the last few years and is definatly the future of growing check out this short video I found on the hightimes website http://www.hightimes.com/watch/new-led-technology-danny-danko

thanks everyone, for viewing my thread. But I'm not finished that was the preliminary grow. It was bias with the 180 and couple of cfl's half of the grow I'm looking at strains online right now to see if I can start my first exclusive LED hydroponic grow. 480w ebay grow. I'M THINKING Barney farms liberty haze or some TGA but not sure yet.

final weight 51 grams. The afghan kush is a weird strain when you smoke it it takes a good 5 minutes to feel stoned. once you inhale you feel a little something but really nothing at all. When I first smoked it I thought the strain was an utter fail. "All this time for this" So I pack another bowl smoke it.. a little more high but really.. shwag. Then its like I looked up and immediately was wrecked and the stone was so intense it felt like it just grips my body and holds it tight hugging me in this distant intensity which last about 1 hour and a half. Real body buzz clearly mind numbing, can't really think straight in your own head let alone try and hold a conversation. Not a sociable strain. great for a movie or video games pour your glasses of water and bring your snacks before you blaze or between the first few minutes of the bowl or you will be thinking about how much you wanted your goodies for the next hour and a half. I was surprised to find that that once this long wicked rocket takes off and runs out of fuel it gently brings you back down no roller coasters or sudden finshing just slowly loses intensity. Perfect night smoke probably medicinal definitely recreational lol. The stuff you keep in a jar for yourself for those times you just can't go to bed or to forget about stress. Not for light smokers my girlfriend hit this "AK" a few times during different parts of the day and each time once it hit OUT! like TKO. She honestly fell asleep sitting up in a chair swear no lies!! Tastes err pineyish if thats a word I have never been to good at describing weed flavors. But very pungent aftertaste. Not like local chop. as for scent right now its meh.. run of the mill nothing special and not dank at all but I am hoping it will smell nice after a month cure before I giver over to my buddy as a bday gift.

All in all I would give it:
Smell 4
Taste 6
Potency 8
grow 8

So far without the cure the bud itself is nothing special loads of crystal like the better side of a mini wheat but no smell or luxurious flavour. Although the high is intense as a mother.

Other negatives
dry eyes
dry mouth
minor paranoia
extreme fatigue (can go good or bad)

All in all it's not on my favorite list just because im not an indica go hard and 100% indicas make me feel stupid when I smoke them and I spend the whole day in my boxers on the couch. So i usually like the hybrids or the sativa dominant. I feel more aware and energized and my brain is wired. But I will say if you like heavy couch locks this land-race is worth a try for its high. I am still surprised at the intensity. It really swallows you up grabs you by the balls...really wouldn't operate a vehicle on definitely not like the local weed people sell around here.

Good thread. I too have converted to relatively cheap/Chinese LED's and I must say, into my second (indoor) grow and quite pleased with the results so far (see attached pic, 6 weeks from the day I transplanted them - 4"-5" clones). Using the following 400W LED for 3 plants in a 2'Wx4'Lx6'H home made closet (link below has all the specs), paid $300 US all-in. I'm new to indoor so have no previous comparison, had grown outdoors for a few years until my crops got pilfered the last couple of times. However, a buddy who's grown with HPS/HID is impressed enough to try LED's in his next round so I'm assuming he's impressed :) As far as economics, for $300 I got my money out of it in the first grow (19oz from 3 ladies, super-cropped/LST to fill the room, not bad for first go in a small closet, planning on better yield this round), anything going forward is a bonus. No plans to switch to anything else, they're quiet, cheap on hydro usage, cool so I don't have to spend huge amounts on cooling or exhaust. I'm converted and enjoying the fruits of my labour daily :)

Thats good to hear. just germed 1x cali connection blackwater REG. and 1x TGS jack skellington REG. They are looking good green cotyledons this morning
:). Hoping one wil be male I want to germ some seeds cause buying them is expensive as hell. Hoping the blackwater will be male. I know the result will be unpredictable genetics but eventually one of those seeds will be a good cloning mother. Ill keep you all posted, its been quiet because of the delay between the last and this one.

My veg room started dipping to near 70, so I actually plugged in my 7 bulb CFL set up for heat.
The extra light can't hurt.

After a few hours I had the temp up to 77, where I like it.

The LED is going to run a bit too cold for me this winter. I will be running the CFL bulbs as needed for heat.

It is easier to raise the temp than lower it.
