earth box

ive been experimenting with them lately. but i havent gotten a full blown grow out of it yet due to flooding. i had one outside with 4 five foot blueberry plants and one small thc bomb and one small juicy fruit. they did well but i didnt get much of a yeild considering the flood. and i also had 4 juicy fruit plants indoor in the earthbox that were about two and a half foot tall LST'd and i freakin got costal root aphids and i had to kill everything, even my clones and i had to start over, it sucked really badly.
they were so pretty and i know they would of gave off at least 300 grams when finished under my 600w hps. but you live you learn and you try again. i know everyone would knock me for it but its my op and they can f off if they dont like it. right now indoors i have 28 seedlings in my earth box. their on 12/12 from seed to keep em small and in ultimate pro-mix organic (i know its not 100% organic) under a 600w hps. once the males show here in about 2 weeks ill pull them and their root balls out and LST my fems into their space. im hoping for 14-16 fems with about 7 to 10 ounces. soon im gonna put a spacer in my earthbox to split it in half and go perpetual. i have a small earthbox i made to fill in my space along with my earthbox and im thinking of running perpetual every 4 weeks. three different sections with each individual section being pulled every 4 weeks. the earth box is a nice but over priced self watering pot or a simple wick system.
its cheaper to make your own. but if you already have one why not put it to use. ill be here experimenting with my earthboxes for some time and once i get another cord for my digi ill post a couple pics of my mini perpetual seed sea of green with LST. if you veg only do a few plants out of the earthbox, if you do 12/12 from seed stick as many as you can in there. ill be trying grandmas mollasses with this grow also, hopefully it'll plump up my buds a little. oh yeah im growing some fruity tang bagseed from mexico 50/50 indica/sativa. i would of went for the genitics but this bag seed actually came out better than any genitics ive bought off the net. except for my ICE from marijuana-seed.nl, i do like that, actually i might throw some of "the pure" or possibly "paia hawiiana" from our attitude into the mix when i breed my mexican tang. peace.

thanks man. what kinda soil and nutrients do you recommend for this thing. i just wanna do a few enough to make personal weed outta. and do you add nuts into the water or into the soil?

all im using is ultimate pro-mix organic, the green bag( but its not 100% organic, but its close) from menards, urine 1tps per gallon for nitrogen before my plants show sex and grandmas mollasses unsuphered from wal-mart 1-2 tps per gallon after my plants show sex. everyother watering for both urine and mollasses. the mollasses wont make your buds sweeter but it will plump up your buds some and it keeps your garden and mix nice and healthy, so ive learned. pro-mix is the way to go. if you find pro-mix that has no plant food you can always add admendments as worm castings, guanno, sea weed extract, vermiculite, perlite im sure someone on here can tell you the exact ammount.
i try to keep it easy and close to organic as possible, the ultimate pro-mix organic comes with added seaweed extract. imo if your using chemical nutes dont even waste the time to use mollasses. it wont work as well. and if you use tap water make sure to let it set out so the clorine in the water will evaporate before adding anything organic to the water. imo chems and organic ferts just dont mix well. im actually using a pur filter from wal-mart on my tap at the moment, we'll see how it goes, i heard it works well.
most of any potting soils or potting mixes will work with the earthbox, just stay away from anything that says it feeds for up to 3 or 9 months and stay away from miracle grow. i just cant recommend mg. in my experiences it has been simply a waste of my time. now i havent tried the mg organic, its not completely organic and theres probably very little food for your plants. try to find pro-mix you'll be happy you did. if you cant you might want to look around on the organic forums to find a good potting mix. chemical ferts are simply not good for your health at all. if your gonna do it, try to keep it as natural as possible. have a good one.:leaf:

I was walking my dog in the city and someone was hosing out 5 of these earthboxes in her front yard... A little obvious man, no backyard either.

Walmart sells smaller versions. Cheap and work great. Use GH 3 part nutes, and water daily. Roots are all down in the bottom in a big mat around the channels. Roots get wet, then dry out every day. They work great.
