Early sex determination?

I am currently three weeks into my first grow, and hoping that at least one of my three plants is female. I have a good understanding of how to determine if the plants are male or female depending on whether they grow hairs or balls where the nodes branch from the stem, but i recently saw a post where someone said that they could tell their plant was a female as a seedling. So my question is, aside from having feminized seeds or a clone, is there any way that you can determine gender before the plant enters the flowering stage?

i heard that if you veg them long enough they will show their sex. i dont know how long though.

Whoever said they can tell sex from a seedling is either using feminized seeds or a bullshitter.
