He punched his way to freedom.

The South Carolina inmate who allegedly assaulted accused Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof this week posted bond Friday — more than 18 months after his arrest.

Dwayne Stafford, 26, was released from the Charleston County Detention Center on $100,000 bond the day after he punched Roof in the jail’s shower area, police said.

Stafford had been behind bars since January 2015, when he was arrested on first-degree assault and strong arm robbery charges. Records do not show who paid for Stafford’s release, but after the Thursday morning bathroom assault, Stafford’s fans organized a fundraiser to donate to his jail commissary account.

Many praised the 26-year-old for targeting Roof, who is charged with nine counts of murder and several hate crimes for the June 2015 rampage inside the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston. Roof, who reportedly prayed with his victims for an hour before opening fire, penned a lengthy, hate-filled manifesto professing his hatred of black people.

The bigoted 22-year-old — who has been held in protective custody at the jail since his arrest — was supposed to be taking a solo shower Thursday morning when Stafford pounced. The attacking inmate punched him several times before a guard pulled the two apart. Roof was bruised in his face and back but was not seriously injured.

It’s unclear how Stafford got out of his cell and into the bathroom. Under protective custody protocol, the facility’s inmates are supposed to be locked in their cells before jail workers let Roof out to shower or use the rec room.

Officials initially said Stafford would be charged with assault, but Sheriff Al Cannon later said Roof and his lawyer will not press charges.

Roof is still locked up awaiting both state and federal trials. He faces the death penalty in both.

Oh wait, it's not...just some chum for the bloodthirsty retributionalists™.

If says sorry to his victims and pays them back, I'm thinking he's paid his debt to society.

So you feel empathy for somebody who spent time in bible study with the people who didn't know him but accepted him before he murdered them because they were black? And not for somebody who was clearly murdered by the Baltimore police?

Do you have a heart or is it one of those mechanical thingies?

End it now for the shithead. He's guilty. No question. Its not as if the Baltimore police department had time to wash away the evidence. He's the shooter and he said what he said. Hook those electrodes up and let's get it over with.

No heart just a police dick so far down his throat it takes the place of one.

Just keep him locked up, you can't fix murder with murder.

I dare say that the connection between this guy beating Roof and being bailed out is greater than Iran getting 400 million and the hostages released.

Of course you can do you have any idea how much money this guy will cost us life and PC the entire time?

Yeah he needs to be brought out back and shot. He has someone on the outside to buy him a TV commissary and all.

sounds a bit like those in favor of the death penalty.

Mmm, little bit, yeah. Difference being the whole innocent until proven guilty thing, the trial by a jury of your peers and a lengthy appeals process. Other than those pesky differences, you nailed it.

Yeah, we should skip the whole trial requirement and start executing folks Judge Dredd style. That might be a precedent you don't want to start. Who would most likely be the ones doing that...ah, that's right...cops! You might want to follow that to its logical conclusion and factor in the hypocrisy candy coating.

And I feel nothing for the lad, I was just commenting on how there is no newsworthiness beyond giving sick f***s a chance to cheer for his pain. It's hilarious that you question my heart, when you're one of those sad creatures rooting for his jailhouse demise before he's even had his day in court. You might wanna try a smidge of introspection.

Says the guy in favor of police gunning subdued people down.
