Dying??

Hey everybody im new to this forum and find it very usefull and interesting

I started growing a plant 22 days ago in the beginning it was growing pretty good and then alot happened 1, it stopped growing 2 its getting these dry brownish looking spots and it looks like its dying

im growing it in .21 - .07 - .14 miracle grow pot mix

using a fluorecent plant and aquarium light that produces 600 lumens

i recently moved the plant up about 3inches away from the light because i thought it might not be close enough or something

these are some pics of my plant I know its not half the size its suppose to be looking at other plants on here... sorry im a 1st time grower still no excuse i know

did you check your ph?

maybe theres too much nutes in the soil?

or your ph is not good......

what kind of water are you using?

Looks like nute burn care of the Miracle Grow potting mix. 600 lumens is also way too little to grow a plant.

You should aim for at least 10,000 lumens during veg. And for soil, I'm currently using Fox Farm Ocean Forest, it's good stuff.

What Would You Recommend For Lighting Then? I Only Have A Fixture That Takes 2 24inch Fl Tubes I Will Also Try And Find That Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil

If you're looking for fl, then check out a New Wave T5 system. It's cheap, stays cool, and can do a pretty good job for veg. I actually got mine from a different site for $20 cheaper and free shipping, but I can't find the site anymore.

go to home depot or lowes, buy some compact fluorescent bulbs. If you don't know, ask someone there. Buy some lamp wire, you'll find it in the section with all the wire. I get about 15ft for each light I am going to make. Now in the electrical section you can find some plugs that will easily wire on one end of the lamp wires. For the other end of the wire you need a light socket. They have some that are really easy to assemble. Now you have lots of lights for under $20. Its extremely easy to do.

Once again if I wanted to make 4 lights, which I recommend for you this is what to get.

4 15ft sections of regular lamp wire.
4 cfl (compact fluorescent light) bulbs
4 lamp light socket (find the easiest one to wire)
4 easy to wire plugs.
