DWC with rockwool

I kinda screwed up and vegged in rockwool, as opposed to hydroton. (first grow some im semi lost) will rockwool be ok in my DWC setup or should I try to do surgery and move them to my hydroton pots?

You can't just plop your rockwool cube in a bed of hydroton? That's how it's commonly done.

Well its a DWC setup so the rockwool will have to be semi-submerged the whole time.
And no I cant plop it in hydroton because the rockwool takes up the whole netpot. (4 in rockwool 4 in netpot)
So again will my rockwool be ok submerged throughout flower?

^^^^See VoidObject's comment above.

if the roots arent poking thru the bottom carefully tear away excess rockwool from the bottom and sides, I use 4x4 in rockwool in a 6 inch net pot and its a tight squeeze.

Be careful at tearing away rockwool-- I barely like to touch that stuff once it's in the DWC. If you keep moving the seedlings around they definitely won't root.
