DWC/SoG Indoor Grow Box...Help

motif

Heres what i got thus far:

1.) 2', 4 bulb T-5 New Wave with both red and blue bulbs.

2.) 5 gallon, 6 cup reservoir tub

3.) Hydroton

4.) Rockwool

5.) 60 gal. Tetra Air Pump

6.) Two 3" airstones hooked up to the pump

7.) Water Heater

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

What would be a good size grow box for me? I want to do the SoG, and im using DWC. How many compartments do i need? Also i was hypothetically thinking, grow the mother plants in the tub i got, and take clones and put into maybe an Aero Garden, and harvest out of the AG. Is that possible? What if i got a bigger resevoir for the AG?

Thoughts/suggestions/Pro. Advice would all be VERY much appreciated:joint::peace:

maybe a 3x3x5 or something like that....if u can get a 400watt hps to flower and use the t5's to veg a mom and clones.....put the light in a cooltube..with air going in then out of the box...not sucking air out of the cab but rather sucking air from out side in to the cooltube and hot air out the cab.. that way the light has it's own fans...and the cab has it's own ex fans..then u can add co2 with out heating up the cab!! co2=bigger budds!!..good luck and peace

you dont think the T-5 is sufficient enough to flower my buds? does everyone else agree with this? ......lets assume im on a $200 budget of buying new products, would this be recommended?

hps would be better and have a higher yeild but if price is a problem then the t5's could flower, I would get some red spectrum though.

u can flower with those t5's but imo...get a 400watt or even a 250watt hps thats way better then t5's and it is pretty cheap...

i am looking into the same setup as yours. looks organized and pretty simple. can u show a pic of under the under into ur tank. what are you growing bagseed? fems. everything else looks good. keep us posted.

The light that looks more blue (operates at a certain K level) will be better for veg and the warmer red toned light is better for flower, (operates at certain K) Sorry if this doesn't make sense I have obviously been smoking :weed:

I'd agree with that. You will get buds, but they will be light and fluffy.

On your budget, consider just adding some CFL's.

Your T5 likely came with just blue bulbs, though you may have purposefully changed that. The bulbs for T5s are fairly expensive (about $15 ea).

You can get 42w CFLs for about $6-$10 at dept stores. 42w bulbs are all red colored. I'd add 6-8 of those. You can use a piece of plywood to mount the cfls to, then hang the t-5 in the middle between 2 rows of CFLs.

added 8 26watt cfls in my new box (old cabinet)

Lookin pretty good. Don't bother running them until the plants grow into them a little more. If they are further than 2" away, it's kind of a waste. Or, try to position them a little closer.

k check this out, i tried to clip some lower branches for cloning (1 off each plant) and presoaked the rockwool with 1/2 tsp of Thrive Alive B-1 Red in a half litre of bottled water. After i cut them i used a rooting gel to immediately put them in, then cut a few light scrapes on the bottom of the clipping.

My pH seems to fluctuate like crazy everyday, is this normal?
