so i took another clone tonight. i am trying a different method. i am not using RW on this one i cut a 2" piece of Styrofoam drilled a hole in the middle and have the stem getting the bubble contact directly opposed to the RW wicking the water to the stem. this way i can see which method works best for me. got my fingers crossed.

is there anyone who can help me out i have some questions about this set up im new to hydro thanks all and happy trails

i was wondering how wet my RW should get/ how far away from the water should they be sitting in the net pots. im just new prob over thinking things im sure haha

no clay pebbles just the RW in my 2" mesh pots. they seem to be standing up on there own so didnt see the need for the clay pebbles

yea i have 2 six inch stones in a 4liter tub. water is phd to 5.6 and i have some aquashield in there as well. no humidity dome but i spray them a couple times a day

rockwool holds alot of water. I would suggest having your water about one inch below your net pots. AS LONG AS the bubbles are splashing the bottom of the net pots

ok kool man thanks for the help. trying something new is always fun but until you get the hang of it things seem to always be just guesstimation if you catch my drift

you think i should pull the two "GENTLY" out of the RW and transfer into neoprene/Styrofoam inserts. or just leave be whats already done

I run a larger cloner with a cool mist humidirier in my cloner with the clone stems about one inch from the water, roots in about 5-6 days.
I have had problems with heat in the smaller units.

ok i transfered one of them into a Styrofoam left the other one just for curiosity sake haha. i did check both of them and they are starting to root soo i have my fingers and my toes crossed now. thanks for the help brother happy trails
