Dwc reservoir question

So im still kinda to growing and I just read some other forum on the site (https://www.rollitup.org/t/dwc-information-thread-for-everyone.473122/) i read something about the reservoir going down but the ppm being high and adding more water to balance it out. Idk if that makes sense but would it be different if you had a seperate reservoir to c onstanstly fill the bucket? Much appreciated fellow growers

Without clicking the link, I'm guessing that the user you described would have seen no difference if he added a res.

What he was probably describing was his plants drinking water faster than taking up nutrients, causing ppm's to rise over time. The only solution to this is to start with a lower ppm so that the plant drinks and eats at the same rate.

At least, that's what most of us aim for.
