DWC Low-Tech Setup?

Hello everyone,

My main question is that of nutrients are required in a DWC Hydro setup. I'm going to school for horticulture so I don't need lectures on why its good to give the plants ferts blah blah blah because I know its better lol. Im just curious since I've seen people grow in soil alone with no additives, if you can do that with hydro as well.

You can grow in pure ph'd water. Distilled works as well.. but you might want to drop that ph level a bit.

Of course everything is better when you actually feed them nutrients.

No you can't grow any kind of quality bud with plain water, some people don't have to use nuts during their soil grows because they have already mixed up a great batch of soil with everything the plant will need from start to finish.
If you want good hydro nuts on the cheep I hear General Hydroponics is good and you only need a few bottles.
 
Alright thanks, the exact answer I wanted to hear. Just doing some personal experiments with onhand material until Im all setup.
 
Well since I have had money issues I've been smokin on that rego anyways so quality isnt an issue to me right now, I have friends for the danky :)
