First time DWC grower.
I have a 27 gal rez filled to about 20 gallons in my DWC w/aero spray heads and recirc pump. Just started 12/12 and seeing signs of flower.
Next week we are gone for 4 days on vacation so I built an float controlled auto water rig with a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket gravity feed and an overflow outlet for protection. We leave after the next nute change.
I use about 1 gallon of H20 per 24hrs. at this point in my grow. No nutes in the auto water bucket-just plain H20 balanced to pH 5.80 and a few drops of Hydroenzyme . Put an air stone in to keep things fresh. Been testing for 5 days and rez level is being maintained. EXCEPT!
The pH keeps going up in the refill bucket and I don't know why? PH in the grow rez is very stable with a slight rise to pH5.81 or pH5.82 after a few days seems pretty normal. 5 gallon auto fill goes up to 6.0 or 6.30 over night.
Anyone think it could be the airstone pushing up the pH? Can air do that?Took the stone out this morning and will report back the results.
