DWC 1.5 gallon cloner. Do I use bleach or hydrogen peroxide when cuttings are in there

When I dunk the rock wool in the water I don't sqeeze the extra water out, so the medium is pretty wet in the beginning or until I open the dome up and lower the humidity.
If it's still doing it in the DWC cloner with no dome then I wouldn't think it's a humidity/wetness problem. I really don't know what it would be, only time I see that like I said before is from prolonged wetness of the foliage (under wet domes, mailed while too wet)

I will keep you posted, I appreciate the help everyone.

Is bleach just as good? Send a amazon link to the pool shock you use and the amount you use.
Just google Clear Rez DIY or whatever. This info has been out forever. There’s some good threads on here that give you the recipe

Now I have had like 2-3 clones damp off or whatever its called today on day 8 of taking them. The bottom part of the stem in the water turns into mush if thats damping off.. Looks like I will be done growing soon and just buy it and re-sell it.

Yes that sounds like damping off.

perhaps just try the old school root riot/rapid rooter in a solo cup with a clear cup inverted on the top to keep humidity in? No slime/dwc issues to mess with.

Yeah that's root rot rotting the stem before you get roots. Do the stems stay submerged in water or how does that work? You're better off using rapid rooters and clonex and just taking as many clones as you can and select the best, most vigorous ones to keep your income flowing. DWC and Aero can be problematic for some growers. Some never have an issue and others always have issues, temps can definitely be a factor for success or failure.

Are you talking about the pistols getting burnt or the damping off?? This was like the 2nd time where I put the water levels like 4-5" lower then the bottom of the stems. Previously I use to have the water levels up so the stems were always in water.. Can you send a link of the rapid rooters?

The damping off. The stem rot. What are the water temps? It looks like you root in rock wool too, can I ask why you're using the DWC and not just rock wool? Anyway, what are the water temps of the DWC? Only think I could recommend is to clean it, run like 10:1 bleach through the pump and clean the whole thing. Then add water, your nutes or cloning stuff, whatever you use? and bleach to keep it sterile. If its already contaminated adding bleach aint gonna help. you gotta sanitize it and start over. If your water temps get around 80 or more you're gonna have to change it daily.

Why are rapid rooters better than rock wool?
They aren't, but rapid rooters might be where you wanna start if you're having issues, I feel like the pre moistened rapid rooters and clonex gel is a good place to start if you're having cloning issues. but get that DWC cloner sanitized and see if that helps.

I am a very good grower, but I've had problems with clones forever. Some strains are like 90% and other are like 50% doing the same thing.
I'm not questioning your growing skills. I'm sure you do just fine. I meant there must be a variable we are overlooking.

I didn't mean you were questioning my growing skills.. Something is up with my cuttings. I got PM like a year ago and the last few months I've had a bad cloning time... My clones were never good though, depending on the strain.

How yet do you keep the rockwool/rapid rooters and do you add water to them after a few days or what? I soak the rock wool in ph 6.0 water for 10 secs and I don't really squeeze the water out. Then I was putting water in the bottom of my tray and spraying the doom. The rock wool would stay pretty wet for the first 4 days bc the doom was closed and humidity was around 90%... Was just everying too wet?? But also if you have high humidity doesn't that create water vapor on the dome and there is nothing you can do about it.

Temps are mostly around mid 70's in my dwc cloning water. Air temps are probably around that too.... I've done the dwc cloner in the winter too with water temps in the high 60's and air temps the same with good results... Seems for me its very strain dependent. I had a strain 5 months ago and it rooted 100% of the time.... Now shits damping off and the pistols are burning or rooting as in the pic I put on here.
