Dutch Passion Master Kush grow

This is my second grow. I had pretty acceptable yields my first go around even though i screwed the pooch on 2 of my 4 plants. good buzz. taste leaves a lot to be desired but hopefully this one will turn out better. i planted 2 feminized master kush seeds on 9/18 in dome roots organix soil, watered them with some rain water and covered them with plastic wrap. i left them in my furnace room and checked them daily. yesterday nothing. today, a couple of sprouts! i don't have time to assemble my tent at this point so i am starting them out in less than perfect conditions. i will get my tent set up in a few days but in the mean time, i have 2 23 w cfl 6500 kelvin bulbs in a reflector and will have the lights on 24 hours a day from here on out.

i put my tent together today and have the seedlings going under 2 x 52 watt 10000 kelvin t5 cfl lamps. the tent is 4x4x2 feet. it is intended as a mothers tent but it was what i could afford at the time i was setting up for my first grow and it worked out ok though it was a little cramped for 4 plants(thus the 2 plants this time). i am going to turn on 2 more of the t5's in a week or so. the tent is around 72 deg Fwith a humidity around 50%. the lights are on 24 hours a day for now. the leaves seem to have doubled in size just in the 8 hours they have been in the tent. watering with rain water.

i have a fan blowing on them and i reposition the pots when i think of it. i will be using general hydroponics gobox nutes when they need nutes. i think my last grow i over fertilized and i believe that screwed up the taste. i am into my 3rd month of cure on some and 4th on others and the taste is finally getting to be nice(using the perfect cure every time method https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/514841-perfect-cure-every-time.html). i have 3 gallon felt pots i will transplant them to when the time comes. i am reusing them from my first grow. i washed them in the washing machine to get rid of any left over salts. the tricky part will come when the weather gets cold as my basement is not heated. the last grow i fought humidity spikes (70-75%)when the lights were out during flowering. i didn't have any mold but i think that is because the buds were not very dense. this master kush is supposed to be dense so i think i will be putting a dehumidifier in the tent. damprid for me was a disaster. it is basically salt and some of the condensation got onto the floor of my tent and killed 2 plants when the excess water was left on the floor and the plants soaked it up. learned a lot and got a lot of help here and on grasscity.

turned on the second 2 cfl's so i have 208 watts going. raised the lights to about 4 inches for now. had to increase the exhaust fan speed as the tent was 81 deg f. the second set of leaves have popped already. i think they like their new home.

2 weeks from sowing the seeds, the plants look nice and healthy. the tent is running a bit warm (81-83 deg) and the humidity is kinda low(~38%).

the leaves are looking a little bit pale so i gave the plants a light fertilizing this morning using gobox nutes. 1ml of thrive grow, camg+, root, weed, marine and 2 ml black in 32 oz of water. see if i can get these a little darker green.

opted to transplant today at 17 days from sowing in soil. i am glad i did. the roots were getting pretty dense at the bottom of the pots. these things are growing like wild fire...

nearly 3 weeks from sowing the seeds. i'm hoping they take soon off now that they have some room to grow. too small to lst yet but that is what is in store for them...

3 weeks from planting... starting to lst the little buggers... gave them a second course of diluted nutes(same volume of nutes, twice the water from above).

3 and a half weeks in... trying to show how my lst'ing is working out. the bottom/oldest leaves look pretty shabby. i think i maybe dosed them up with nutes a bit too strong the first fertilization. i am using rainwater so i wonder if the water already has nitrogen in it???? this is my second grow and i think i learned the last time that i over fertilized so i'm backing off this go-round.

that being said, i fertilized with 1 ml from each bottle (except camg+, bloom and bud) from my gobox nutes each diluted in 1 gallon of water last night...

so i have read about phenotypes a little and i am guessing i have 2 different phenotypes. one is growing faster and looks more robust than the other but the smaller one is starting to smell skunky already. the big one smells like any other house plant.

4 weeks from planting the seeds and these 2 are coming along pretty well. the main stem has slowed in growth since i lst'ed them and the lower branches are taking off. i have read about auxins so i know that is kind of the aim with lst. my original plan was to train the main stem (peristem?) around the pot but it looks like i might be better off lst'ing the lower branches to spread the plant over the entire pot. any input would be greatly appreciated.

i don't have the facilities/room to clone at this point. i just grew out the plants i had from my first grow and shut down my tent once done. the two i have going now are supposedly both dutch passion master kush that i got from attitude but they are quite different. the smaller one started stinking quickly but the bigger one is starting to stink too at 4 weeks from planting the seeds. good luck with your grow.

i am using this to keep track of what i am doing to these plants so last night i watered the shit out of them to get the whole pot wet. allowed them to drain well too. i used about a gallon and a half of water with about 2 tbsps of molasses. i also started to taper the lighting to 23 on 1 off and plan on tapering it down over the next few weeks until i go to flowering. i noticed some of the branches are starting to have uneven nodes already which i think is a sign of a maturing plant.

You should start seein sex soon even thoughtheyre probably fem seeds so you already know the sex haha

i got lucky with my first grow. planted 5 seeds and got 4 viable plants and all 4 were female. my fear is that even though these are feminized seeds, since i only planted 2 seeds, both will turn out to be males due to some environmental issue like heat or humidity or something else... it is rare that i get lucky...

because i can't leave well enough alone and i can't do nothing, i made the decision after a couple of friday night drinks to top them bitches in hopes that that will divert the growth to the lower branches that i am lst'ing like a (non)boss! we will see if alcohol and cannabis cultivation mix well... (hiccup).
