Got a good bit of Durban Poison, so far i'm loving it... It's reputed as one of the finer sativas, and with my east-coast location, i'm very pleased it's made it's way here. I'm a sativa lover and was wondering what strains would be comparable to this one..? Not like I have many options being out this way, but I tend to like to pick up a variety of strains... Durban Poison being one of my new favorites. What are you guys' thoughts / comments / suggestions regarding this fine strain!
 
You do? I find the buzz pretty unique.. Atleast for what's been around this way for the past.... while... It's a pretty pungent smell and refreshing taste. I dig.

pure ignorance ................... durban poison is a landrace sativa strain from durban south africa, its pretty hard to find one that hasnt been messed about with but in its pure form its a trippy giggily type of high with a liquorice taste a very unique high............ not the strongest out there but very well regarded does very well outside is even colder climets too
 
I don't understand where this whole white widow x NL is from. It is a landrace sativa from south africa, durban is the port city that is its namesake.
 
Thats just what I was told by someone who showed me the ropes maybe he was simply miss informed but I wont lose any sleep over it.... seems like everything has been crossed or tampered with thats in major circulation anyway I couldnt really tell you being so ignorant and all.
 
I have grown Durban several times. I got my seeds from sensi. True - Durban is a pure breed land race sativa. I don't compare it with anything because of the clean sativa high. WW and NL are not pure sativa highs. I like Durban a lot because of the stability in any kind of nasty fall. Very dense bud for a pure sativa.

Locals in Durban often calls the Durban plant "Durban Poison", but breeders created a hybrid and named it that too as far as i can read.
The hybrid Durban Poison is not comparable to Durban - just two very different plants.
 
Yeah I've heard about how some of the real, south african Durban can be too strong of smoke to even get into your lungs.
The 'Durban' I am growing is by Nirvana, its called "Urban Poison", they say it is real durban crossed with Northern Lights, then backcrossed.
It is a beautiful and strong plant with an amazing smell. I ordered these seeds before I knew much about the Nirvana Breeding company so I plan on getting a higher quality pack from Sensi Seeds.

sorry for been a little rude ..................... but yeah its not surrpisein you herd that really, its very hard to find a pure durban afropips has had good reviews but hard to find now everyone has snapped it up !
