I don't know what to do. My plant in the back yard I'm allmost 100% shure is not getting enough darkness. My neighboors have a light on in there back yard all night and half my plant gets aliitle of that light, will this fuck me over?

Well i'm not entirely sure but if it's not growing or anything then it needs to be moved.

I'm sure there will be a place in your garden where theres plenty of sun and no light at night.

You could always ask the neighbors to turn the light off at nights as your curtains ain't too thick..something like that ;)

You know thats a good one.
All I can conclude is this:
If it is continuous, and the plant has grown in those conditions up to now, I would imagine you would be fine, maybe a little slower on blooming, maybe a little light on yield, I don't know. But I do know mogie posted a way to feminize seeds, and she stated that if you interrupt the dark cycle with one hour of continuous light, then resume the dark cycle, ie, 5.5 dark 1 hour light 5.5 darkness, the plant will suffer from light poisoning and become hermie. So I am guessing it revolves around whether the plant is actually "stressed" or not, and if your plants have grown with this light I doubt they are stressed.
Good Luck amigo

It's my neighbors backyard light, and partially my backyard light but not as much as theirs. my plant is bent completely sideways to try and get it in as much darkness as possible, and to hide it because it was 5+ feet. now all the branches and tops are growing straight up and is at waist level... I have a cement wall thats 2 feet high than a chain link fence... thats whats blocking the light neither work... I planted cucumber and tomatoes behind it but too late it dose nothing to block my neighbors view or their mean light... their Chinese and don't speak English.
THanks!

Damn. Would a black bag be too much? I know this method is used in geurilla growing--"place a large black trash bag over the plant..."
Peace

you can fuck the plant up with that light....it over stress's the plant an cause's several problems...i have heard stoies of bright moon filled nights fuckin up plants...i would go to wal-mart or another approite store.get a air pump bbgun an shoot that fuckin light out...

What a bunch of rambling rubbish.

Your plant will not enter flowering if there is enough light interupting its darkness cycle. It's less of a problem during vegetative growth due to the sheer number of light hours, but the plant needs 100% interupted darkness to switch into flowering.

Once it's switched into flowering its less critical but light interupting a plants darkness cycle can stress it and force it back into vegetative growth, ie stop the flowering cycle.

it can also cause the plant to go hermie....

I think the plant turning hermie is the least of his worries if he can't even get it to initiate flowering, which he won't if it's dark cycle is getting interupted.

If the plants in a soil bed outside and non-moveable his only option is as you suggested covering it with a bag or a box or something. If it's in pots he can move them inside into a closet or something for those 12 hours.

If he does this for the first two to three weeks of flowering (the most critical time) and then leaves it outside then sure there's a chance of the plant turning hermy, but it's less than it would be for the first two to three weeks.

If he can protect it from light leaks in the first say 4-5 weeks of flowering, even if it does turn hermie, the pollen won't have time to mature and release before the plants harvested.

O.K. so since its in a garden I'm going to have to cover it... I also just started an indor grow yesterday. since the plant is horizontal and over 4 feet wide and tied down I'm going to need somthing larger than an 80 gallon trash bag... a lether grill cover perhaps?
My other neighbor whos an old italian dude who you cant understand is allways loking at my cannabis plant. hes a garden freek and a nosey mofo I'm sure putting a grill cover over it wont draw too much attention from him? lol

that is correct..i jsut thought that from one of your previos posts here that you thought that was rubbish?

There's quite a lot of rubbish in that post that doesn't deal with hermies and as I said previously - the plant turning hermie is the least of his worries right now - that's why mentioning it within a bunch of incoherrent nonsense it was rubbish.

And thanks for telling me I'm correct, thankfully I don't require your approval.
