Dual spectrum v metal halide/hps

Hi ive always used 600watt metal halides and high presure sodium, the mh cost me £40 each and sodium £30 but when i was just down at the shop the dual spectrum are only £12 which leads me to the question whats the best way to grow ? Is it using mh and hps or dual spectrum bulbs because if theres no difference really then i might swap to dual spectrum as there far cheaper, the man in the shop said this is because most people use dual spectrum and because of the quantity they order they can sell cheaper, so I'll be grateful for any advice.

Dual spec bulbs are inefficient(mh arc) compared to a standard HPS bulb. Stick with the latter.

Thankyou for that advice so ile stick with what i have then, i thought this would be the case but cheaper costs started to tempt me.
