Dual-Ballasted (the ballasts that can house a MH and HPS bulb) VS. A conversion bulb? Pros & Cons of each?

When something craps out in the dual ballast, you're out 2 lights in a sense. Conversion bulbs are cheap, replaceable, and don't complicate a reliable process.

I agree. Also i have noticed no difference between conversion bulbs and dual ballasts in my experience. Hell of a lot cheaper too.

It would depend on the cost some. I got my 400 watt mh/hps ballasts for 30 dollars each. If one goes bad, there's about 1000 replacements on craigslist for similar prices.

Your best bet is to buy one of each.

HPS ballast and MH conversion bulb does it for me. And cheaper from an industrial lighting supplier, not a grow shop.
