Dryxi No-till Grow Journal

This is my first grow and I've decided to share it here to get advice along the way. Little information about the grow:

●5x5x7 tent
○X2 CMH 315s (one on during veg)
●4 Amnesia Haze plants from RQS (seed sprouted July 5)
○Soma SIP style with 4x4 container filled with grow stones under the 4x4 planter bed. I fill the grow stone container with water to water from the bottom.
●Amended soil using coots recipe off buildasoil
○Daily RH 75/60 (normally stationary around 63)
●Daily Temps 83/72 (normally 77 highest)

So each of these pics are the day after I've done something (believe the first two are after a EWC tea, last one is after an IPM collar spray). I have been bad about notes and pics so hopefully this journal will help me do better.

(I live in a high RH location that easily reaches 95f+ outside) any feedback is welcome and wanted. My first grow so learning is key.

Gave the girls an IPM foliar two days ago and it looks like it burned 2 of the 4 plants. Not too terribly and they will get over it but it happened. I think it was the essential oil part of the foliar that did it. I gave them neem oil, aloe powder, agsil16, and essential oil together in water following the BAS recipe. Either way, I'll try it again next week and reduce the amount of essential oil I out in and see what happens.

Plants have since exploded in growth. I think I will flip to 12/12 right around the 2 month mark (Sept 05). Anyone have a suggestion on when to flip, it will stretch since its a haze?

Filled the res below the plants yesterday but otherwise keeping a hands off approach right now to let them heal up from the burn I gave em.

Your plants are looking very healthy but don't fem or anything like that ok ? once they reach that web flip them baby's and they should double in size. Well close to it any way. then you can do some low stress bending at the stem and tie the stems sown and you should be good to go.

Well here is another little update. I have done absolutely nothing to them since the last update except some low stress training. Realized the issue I was having wasn't burn from the IPM spray but instead was actually wind burn. It was the reason those leaves were looking weird as well. I had a small fan in there that was blowing directly on that one plant and it literally didn't click in my head till recently. Either way, I believe I am still on track to be popping soon, maybe in a week or two. Excited for the next step.

Next week I will give them a top dress and water (as well as refill the res below them tomorrow). I will be top dressing EWC and a couple amendments like malt barley, kelp meal, and possibly grokashi.
Enjoying my new hobby!

So today I filled the res again (took 8 gal to fill) and top watered the plants some EM5 and Microbe Complete. They are looking great just not quite even in size. Soon they will be at the scrog and I will top dress some N amendments to help them with stretch and then i'll do another with kelp and P amendments. See how it all goes!

Well they slightly passed the screen so I went ahead and turned on the second cmh and flipped to 12/12. I also did a top dress of grokashi, kelp, insect frass, and BAS craft blend under a 1.5" layer of homemade EWC. Temps went up to 86 from 81 when I turned on the other light so I did some messing with my ductwork and was able to remove 2 turns and length of ducting which brought the temps down to 84. I will continue to see what I can do to bring it down a little more but in the meantime I will look to keep humidity around 70% for VPD.

I'll take a picture tomorrow to show and will also top water the plants a little (maybe 1.5 gal total for the bed) to make sure the top layer stays semi moist.

Today I gave them a soil drench of a ACT. The ingredients of the tea were kelp meal, a small amount of alfalfa meal, 1.5 cups of homemade EWC, and 15 ml of Rootwise Bio-Catalyst in 4.5 gal of water. I will take a picture of them in a couple hours to give an updated picture. They are looking really good.

Saw a rove beetle crawling on my of the plants while I was watering as well. Good to know they are doing well and searching out food sources.

Well I promised a picture so here we are. I just refilled the res below the planter bed with about 7 gallons of water. Means the plants are drinking about 8-11 gallons a week. I expect that number to rise and since I am going on vacation in October for a week it will be something I need to keep track of to properly prepare.

It's not a very good example of a scrog considering one plant didn't do as hot as the others (even with time to recover) and thus doesn't fill out her section of net very well. I am not very worried since I think my other 3 plants can fill it out for her if she can't. This would be day F05.

I honestly have no idea. It is my first grow. My goal is of course as much as possible. I will probably get more like average/under especially with one plant not filling in his screen as well. It will be a wait and see thing. My next future grows will only be better. I think it was a poor choice to go with a long flowering sativa for my first grow (at least it isn't a 20 weeker tho). Should've gone with something shorter to start but I'll do a short one on the next turn around.

It's all a learning curve in growing my friend. We all have made the wrong choice at one time or another. But you are doing just fine and you'll come out smoke'n like a champ

This is what we look like today. Filling in nicely, unfortunately I am running out of ways to put it back under the net. I have come to find these 4 inch trellis are terrible. I should've used something like a 2 inch.

That sounds great. I am not sure what I will do next rotation but I think I'll do 4 different indica strains of fems I have. I'm gonna finish those out and the other fems I have before I go into the reg seeds I have. I plan on eventually breeding my own seeds out of the 66 regular seeds I have of Silver Mountain from bodhi.

On another note, this soma sip is awesome that I use. I water loterally once a week and its not even too terribly much. Like 7 gals into the res and I'm done for the week (it holds 16 gal so I have a lot of room for mistake

I'm soil guy myself. I plan on using large grow pot's 15 to 20 gal cloth pots sand maybe gearown to 8 maybe 10 plants. I grew a Blueberry in a 30 gal pot and it got to just about 6 ' all the others were in 5 gal cloth pots and got to be maybe 4' So the bigger the better lol

Just watered them. Looks like the stretch is slowing down already. No longer growing much. I think tomorrow will be one of the last times I have to mess with the canopy.

Also I put a guest in the tent last week, guess he decided he wanted to die though. (Praying mantis)

Filled the res and it took about 12 gallons. So they drank about 12 gallons in 11 days.
