hello all and thanks in advance. i have already completed my outdoor grow by the way my first time. i have already cut my weed from the main tree and put it in a shoe box. not sure if i was suppose to or not but ive already done it. should i poke holes in the boxes to let air in or should i just leave the lid off. im drying in a basement room. please be detailed with me again i am a newbe. pics from when the plants were still growing and now in shoe boxes. please help your fellow marijuana smoker! also this is only 2 boxes i have 8 total. i did have the whole tree hanging but a friend suggested that i cut up and put in shoe boxes.

keep it in a dark dry room with not to high RH .. believe 30-40% is best .. and "normal" temps (70-80F) not to hot or to cold ..

make sure there is a good air circulation in there (use a swinging fan pointed away from the weed)

I use a old dryer rack for closed

I use a spare bedroom where I can keep it dry and dark and not to hot (don't want it to dry to fast either)

then after 5-10 days when its dry enough for jars (when steams crack when bended)
you do the last manicure and remove most of the steams (I do) and put em on jars

make sure to open the jars once or twice a day for the fist week or two ..
to let moist out and fresh air in so the buds cure right and don't get mold ..

Hang it in the open with an indirect breeze until it is dry enough for the stems to crack instead of bend, then put it in jars. This gives the water and chlorophyll a chance to evaporate. If you seal it up while it is still wet you will end up with bud that smells like hay, and you will risk moldy buds.
