Drying & Curing 3-5 lbs or more

Hey everyone. I don't really post a lot but a friend of mine asked me a question and I really couldn't give him an answer. It is a hypothetical really but it might come in handy for someone.
I know that you could use Brown bags, so I said that maybe using those huge brown lawn bags might be a good way to dry them... Let me know what you think. Maybe pouring them out once a day into rubbermaid bins for movement.
Now comes the fun part of curing. People say that the rubbermaid bins would not work for curing as the plastic does not breathe.
Since when does glass breathe? I used to grow mushrooms and if my glass breathed I would have had jars full of mold. So what if you could air tight the containers with weather stripping or something like that, the latch type kind so they wouldn't pop off with a small amount of gas buildup. Once again moving them around from one bin to the other.
Let me know your thoughts on this or any other suggestions.....

I prefer to hang mine on metal coat hangers in a dark room with a small fan.
Really anything will work for curing. Put large amounts in container and your going to want to dump them out for a half hour a day and then put them back in the container.

Hang dry for a week or so then into glass jars for a month, burping everyday. rubbermaid curing would work fine, as long as you hang dry them until the stems snap you will be fine.

i think people dont like plastic containers cause they think it leaves a faint taste in the bud but who wants 100s of jars to open and close haha. leave a couple slices of lemon or orange skin in ther if doing in plastic

This info could and would ruin buds... :-| Should be more specific about how much peel to use, a few "slices" will give you guarantied mold!

It really wont effect the taste of the bud, so i dont get how this'll help with the plasticy taste if thats why you recommended to do it....

You would only do this if your buds are to dry and you want to rehydrate... And when you do, you use a bit of orangepeel no bigger than 3-4 times the size of a grain of rice at maximum, not a few peels.
:peace:

ok specificll. use 1/4 slice (depending on size of container) as i said just the skin not anything else.. sit on top of bud while curing. i dont see how this would creat mold. ive read this i a few places now including high times.
