Drying box idea

To dry my buds would it work if i got like a 24pack or soda box and run a string form one side to the other then hang the buds in there so the buds are not right out in the sun?

Is there a different way i could go about setting one up that would be just as easy, i need to keep them outside somewhere and id like to not rush things

yes, this will work just fine. Keep a close eye on them as they will probably dry fairly quickly.

agreed, it will dry much much faster than i would recomend. personaly i recomend a seven day cure. but not everyone has space for that.

depending on your outside temp, dew point and such, you can just hang em from tree branches by long strings.

fishing line between branches about 8 feet up is basicly invisible to the human eye.

from the jist of what you wrote im guessing it was an outdoor crop (since you have to dry outdoors). if you havent read up on it yet, slow drying lets the plant use more of its stored menerals and ferts producing a stronger smoother smoke (like flushing before harvest).

if you dry it too fast, the internal processes dont have time to metabolize stored minerals and such, making for lots of coughing and weed not quite as good as it could have been.

i recommend room temp (67-78f ish), in a room with a very slight breeze for about 1 week.

whatever you do. just try and keep box temps less than 85f.

also keep in mind, squirrels, mice, rats and many other things love drying weed.
and a cardboard box on the ground is just beggin for predation.

and yes if you want to totally ruin the quality of your weed you can use a food dehydrator, toaster oven, microwave, rf bombardment, exposure to long wavelength radiation, freeze drying. hey brah, whatever floats your boat. :-)

(please keep in mind i have a dark fucked up kinda humor, so sometimes the things i say might sounds offensive, but the truth is thats cuz your a great big pussy.) hehehe sorry had to.. like i was saying i dont mean to be offensive, if you heard me say it in person youd know from the jamaican accent i was kidding :-)

Outside...hmm, keep the box in the shade and try to put it in a place that has a breeze on a regular basis, some place away from potential predators like the poster above says, animals LOVE the ganj.

Good luck and keep a close eye on em.

ok

something like a small-med size dog house.

put a screen over the door to keep critters out (1/8-1/4 mesh heavy)

keep it in da shade.
