just dropped light on 2 of my plants, they r kinda broken in the middle of the stem, will it b ok? some of the leaves r also burnt. its about 5 weeks old.

cant have pics my camera is broke, basically u know the bit right at the top? with all the little new leaves, they r burnt, and about 30 percent of the leaves on one side r also burnt now to a brownish colour, but the rest is ok, putting it into flowering tonight (changing bulbs and dropped bulb on it) will it b ok? so pissed off

I would give it a few days to recover from the stress then flip it to flower. It is a toss up weather they will be ok or not. It depends on how strong the plant is and also where the stem got snapped. Pic's would help but I know your camera is broken. I personaly have never ran into this problem, but if it is at the top you may want to cut the top off where it got snaped to try and reduce desease getting in there.

well i need to know some things first like is it a branch that broke or the main stem if it was a branch you should be ok i had a similar incidend and it broke off one of my budding branches and i just used some gardeners twine the soft kind so it doesnt cut your plant and tied it snuggly near the damage to kind of hold the wound against the plant and prevent infection at the break site if it was your main stem if it is more bent and not completely broken it should be ok leave it like that don't try to bend it back up or move it around it will correct it self in a couple of weeks you may need to tie it down at some point, go look at the LST thread and see if this looks like your plants current situation if it is and isn't to bad and not completely snapped in half you should be ok if you were in flowering and you snapped off the stem you may have a bad situation due to the fact that the stems are a lot more "woody" in flower than in "veg" and the damage can be for lack of a better word more "permanent" again like was mentioned before by godeye2113 we need pics or at the very least need to know was it a branch or the main stem that suffered the trauma. ill be watching this thread so please reply and let us know the details, you can never be to discriptive.

its not snapped, its like just really floppy in the middle now. should i change back to veg lights, give them a boost of nutes, and leave em for a couple of days?

How long has it been in flower? I would put it in a make shift splint. Take a broom handle or something and support that stem. I think it will recover better in veg though.

i had just changed the bulbs to flowering bulbs and as i was doing so i dropped it on the plants and it burnt them. changed back to veg lights again now, praying to god that it will b ok, common sense says that it will b fine seeing as most of the leaves are ok and the roots etc are ok, just worried. cheers everyone, fingers crossed x

i had that happen to one of my plants.tok 2 popsicle stick and taped them to each side of the break/weak spot.it healed perfect, just had a big knot.cant say that the plants yield was affected but i think the stress made it push out more resin.

I suppose I should have been helpful/supportive too and added that I just found a purple urkle bud accidentally snapped off, the thing is you could tell it had been snapped off pretty good but not fully long before I detected it. so I said wtf and let it grow, and grow it did, stunted of course but still alive and growing. Then it got snapped off again so I said fuck it it wasn't meant to be and smoked it. it wasn't bad, can't wait for a finished product. If you're concerned about the bend/break thats basically what super cropping entails if I understand right. good luck

wtf would you take a bulb thats hot enough to burn something out of a socket for????

i took the bulb out, and then put the new one in, and then hung it up, i came back, and the new bulb had collapsed onto the plant. i reckon it will be ok, its my first grow so im a bit sketchy and paranoid, cant help it though, especially as they looked fucking perfect before hand, and now when i open the door to have a look at them they just look grim.

Oh rite on then, sorry to hear , pot plants seem to be pretty resilent to most every-fucking-thing. I just had a fungaflor "accident" with mine right after I put them in flower and it stalled growth hard but they finally came out of it, most of them anyway.
