Drooping leaves / sign of what

Im confused?? The internet says this needs to be treated as a hydroponic, coco i mean. And everybody have been saying always get runoff. Or did i understand something wrong from your sentence?

Yes, i considered moving to soil after this because this coco thing seems to take alot of work. Everyday schedule is exhausting.

Couple more questions. Can i let the pots sit in run off water till its gone if it evaporates or do i have to clear them always?

Also can i prune these big middle leaves off since they block the new tops growing from the stem?
You need to feed until run off everyday in coco and remove the run off. If you don't remove the run off you risk getting root rot. Do not remove the leaves at this stage.

Ok thanks. What root rot might look like?
Root rot is when your roots turn brown. But you won't really be able to tell if you have root rot. That's not important at the moment. Just make sure you take the run off away everyday and it will prevent any issues from happening. You also need to remove the run off to prevent salt buildup. You really need an EC pen and a PH pen otherwise your plants will probably suffer.

You need an EC pen so you can measure an EC of 1.0 and then feed it the plant and see what it is coming through out the bottom of the plant pot. Without an EC pen you are flying blind

3.4dH. Dont know what that means, is it hard or soft.
I think it's pretty soft. From a guess it's probably about 0.2 - 0.3 EC. I'm just trying to do the math. At this point, you probably want to be using about 1ml of A and 1ml of B per 1 liter of water. And feed them daily until run off and make sure you are removing the run off. And keep giving them 1ml of A and 1ml of B. Don't keep changing the feeding regime. And remove all that pertile shit off the top of the coco. It's probably starving your plants of oxygen. There's way too much pertile on top of that coco!!!! remove it now and replace it with coco just like you have the rest of your plants. Just with a little bit of pertile. Not totally covering the tops. And if you notice the yellowing on the bottom getting worse over the next week then up the feed from 1ml to 1.2ml

Pretty easy to eliminate watering issues. Try giving it more and if it’s still unhappy it was overwatering all along.

Doesn’t look limp to me, which indicates it’s overwatered or a high salt content can cause leaf drop. Due to osmosis n shit

Thank you all for your huge help, thinking with me. Plants are two weeks old in bigger pots, before that they were cuttings in rock wool.

Back to the case, we can say pretty sure it was underwatering (they did not like watering every two days, so did go back to everyday) and also underfeeding nutrients. Today all looked recovered some, change to better compared yesterday.

Today i watered 1ml a+b and rhizo 0.66ml / 1Liter as suggested above. That was good careful dosage i think. Also did the weight testing today and pots seemed to be lighter, some more, some less. Run off water did not appear right away, which is doot thing too i guess?

Except one plant i gave 1.3ml and rhizo 1ml / 1L solution. She has been the most forgiving for my learning, so i desided to test on her.

I would respectfully debate the perlite thing. I put it because of the green on the surface. And it seemed to help with hand watering a bit. I think there will be enough air, because isnt perlite breathable? And they are in coco and airpots, shouldnt there be plenty of air?

This photo is from today before watering.

Good now water at least once a day and seriously decide between coco and soil if you insist on not measuring EC

I guess im having it soon, some cheap one. This is getting nerdy fast. First watering diary, now ec meter.

Altough, that diary saved my girls.

But if you have any better suggestions for the green stuff on the surface, please tell me :) i dont know much about this problem yet.

Hmmm... Interesting use of perlite. I would not have thought of that in your setup. So are you trying more of a hempie approach in those 2?
What are you meaning green substance on the surface? I don't see anything green. Sounds like algae though, which depending on severity may or may not be a problem imo. Do you have clear pictures of what you're talking about?
Sounds like you are reaping the benefits of learning from your mistakes in other ways so that's good! Keep it up.

Yes i guess its algae. I see some single perlites getting green. Im interested is it bad for my plants, can it get out of hands and how to prevent. I will read about it tomorrow mysefl, but im happy to hear other peoples insights.

Ah. Yeah I've had that happen before, but it sounds like you're noticing pretty early on. It will definitely stain your perlite, basically forever, so there's that haha. You can remove or clean the green ones, but they'll be stained like I said. You can then block out the light some to keep help it from growing further. You can put a lit on the pot with a hole for the stem.

If the algae bothers, I would make a weak h2o2 solution and spritz it on the algae, just enough to kill it, but not the beneficial stuff within the rest of the media.

One plant still looks droopyish before night time. Sure it likes now everyday watering and is not drooping all the time.

Can we conclude from this, that the ec is too high in the medium at the end of the day? I m thinking to lower the dosage of a+b to 0.7ml/1Liter or some like that, while for others keep giving the usual 1ml or even raise up to ~1.3ml to see how they react?

Edit; or it could be moisture level being low/ not saturated enough...? Should i try water twice a day? Ill do the weight checking again today. Yesterday when i tried Johannas pot, i think it felt pretty light.

Invest in Blumats. No more runoff and a medium constantly in the "Goldilock" zone. It's a little learning curve but once installed you only check pH and EC daily in the reservoir, no more hand watering and manual labour except at top off and res changes.

If you don't have patience to measure nutrient strength and dialing that in maybe you should go organic with slow released amendments instead?
