Evidence of "marijuanas in your bloodstream" is not evidence that a harm to somebody occurred.
True, but laws are designed to prevent harm to people as much as punish those who cause harm. Most of us think this is overkill when it comes to cannabis, but it's an effective tool for reducing drunks on the roads. Drunks kill families.

If laws were designed to prevent harm to people, why hasn't war been declared "illegal" ? Why are many laws based in malum prohibita ?

Many laws were designed to control people and transfer wealth from an unwilling donor to a willing recipient(s).

A person harmed by a negligent driver should certainly be restituted.

WTF kind of argument is that? War IS illegal unless you happen to be the leader of a country and control the army.

You wouldn't have enough money to save your life if you were drunk and killed my family.

So, laws don't apply to some people. if they are "leaders" ? Interesting.

In your zeal to flex your internet muscles, you seem to have missed the obvious. many laws are NOT designed to prevent harm to people, they are designed to dictate and control people.

Kill your family? Where did that come from? What if I was a "leader" and I accidently dropped a bomb on them, would that be okay as long as it was legal and well, you know, a law existed which was designed to protect me in that case?

We are fucked as patients....
I don't think so. There is no way to prove impairment beyond a reasonable doubt. I am going to be more careful about how long I wait before driving - most of us know when we are too buzzed to pass a roadside test, wait a half hour and you're good. IMO.
I'm sure it'll be a shit show at the beginning, but they'll figure it out. I watched my son (a non-patient) get stopped, admit to smoking and did a roadside sobriety test and was let go with a "have a nice day" - and that was 5 years ago.

I don't play children's games. Have a great day, son.

under current rules ....we will have to prove we are not impaired...or be caught up in the system....

for those of us still working ...and needing to drive to do so... we could be in trouble....
I'm thinking pay no taxes....and if I can't work....it will not be my own fault...when I default on paying
until the rules are at least fair....

its usually the only way to get anywhere with governments...is to just stop funding the policies and decisions they make that
deep down you just can not agree with...on principal....
so boycott LP's and legal MJ.... because by providing no money...is the quickest way to see change...

you can bet the provinces with set up monopoly's.... on the distribution....of cannabis. will use your "tax dollars"... and as much as they need to maintain these monopoly's....regardless...
You can expect your provincial and municipal taxes are going to be getting increased as well.....this you can bank on....100 percent.

so the only real way to ensure you don't have to pay for this huge error our provincial gov's are entering into...is to stop paying taxes completely.
Take that money and store it ...invest it ...or whatever you can to shelter it....and only pay once the bill c45 is corrected completely
and real legalization takes place....

they are in it for the money we all know that...in this culture....no money is the only way to see change happen fast.

Well, the first guy will. Under our charter I am innocent until proven guilty. Simply identifying that I have consumed does not translate to impaired. Failing a roadside sobriety test may be grounds for further investigation, but an admission of use, possession or smell cannot be used to prove criminality in court - all will be completely legal. I am only worried about my ability to drive and not my thc level.
Some jurisdictions will be more aggressive than others and quickly realize the futility. I have zero concerns where I am, but I wouldn't want to be in a conservative leaning province or city.

by the time...anything make it thru the high courts
....thousands of people country wide will already be worked thru the system...
and have their lives potentially ruined...
I highly doubt insurance companies will give anyone a break that has a potential DUI in the works.
so look for a couple grand a month for insurance....

So for driving with a high level of thc in your system as a med patient...could be like playing Russian roulette
