Drip System help

Hey whats up RIU?

Well, just got my V-drip 12 today and I'm curious about the watering schedule. Should I leave it on all the time? I have a timer just in case I need to alternate the on-off time. For a first grow, just to see how it works, I'm going to use bagseed. Never used a top feed drip system before... Looking for pointers.

What medium are you using?

Hydroton expanded clay.

If you aren't using rockwool, you can leave it dripping constantly.
The only problem with the V-Drip systems are that the nutes are in constant light. You could use inorganic nutrients and use H2O2 to take care of any algae and pathogen problems.
