Drip Feed System - Clay Pebbles

Can someone who maybe uses the same/similar system give any advice on feeding. My understanding is that once the seedlings roots show through the rockwool and have been transferred to the clay pebble pots, I should then start feeding, but would it hurt feeding constantly until I can sort out my digital timer? Can someone tell me their feed schedule please? - I just lost 6 seedlings :-( have another two just popped so trying to get things right.

Which brings me to my next question - does anyone know how to program a grasslin digtal timer? I want it to control my feed times along with lighting. Im not sure on timings for feed as mentioned above but need lights to be 20 on and 4 off. I have read through the instructions and viewed them online, but when I plug it in nothing works, I have to plug equipment straight into the wall so I figure im not programming it right??

Thanks guys in anticipation

In regards to your seedlings make sure you have the water level really close to the bottom of the net pot when they are seedlings also start out at 1/4 strength nutes and as the grow raise it up. I have seedlings and they started out 1/4 strength and love it in vegetative state I never try and go over 500 PPM .

If you want and I know growers who do this, they do a 1/4strength nute solution and put it in a spray botttle and foliar feed untill they have roots drinking the water.

Thanks for the fast reply!

I dont quite understand net pot I might be using different equipment to you.... I have rockwool cubes for prop and clay pebbles to transfer into once rooted? Once in the clay pebble pots (once rooted) I planned to use Canna Start at about half the dosage recommended on the bottle, it puts my ec at .05. Wot dya think to this? I may sound stupid right now but dont know how to work out ppm?

The other seedlings I had which died were'nt getting enough light, so ive just put newly popped seeds in propagator and under 600w light with fan under and extraction etc. Hopefully that will help and get me past the seedling stage at least :-)

This is my previous post for help which details what I did before they died etc https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponic...ing-problems-help-needed-now.html#post5319911

Hopefully you can help answer some Q's I replied back to yoghi with?

Thanks again for the best response time I have ever had!!

have you considered flood and drain? it will be easier to water the rocks entirely. seedlings don't need strong light, fluros are easier for them, and you should not feed them anything for some time. google search how to convert ec to ppm

Thanks zem on the ppm tip will search!

I recently purchased an 8 pot wilma so wont b trying flood and drain any time soon, but will bear in mind, u neva no I have got some free space in my tent :-)

Im using dual spec but realise they dont need all that light, I did have a 250watt cfl and would have used it but broke. Will probs get another. But I am doing auto's which dont need any real veg stage as such so I hope i will get by with this.

Any experience using a humidifier by any chance? Was planning on picking one up soon coz in the tent it doesnt register any humidity and I know the equipment works. I think my extractor is just sucking it out before it has chance to reach any registrable %.
